About Doctor Sukant Pandey

I am a 30 year old Ophthalmologist from India, I did my post graduation in Ophthalmology from King George’s Medical College Lucknow, India and my fellowship in Vitreo-retina from Sankara Nethralaya, Chennai, India and I am working in a charitable hospital, Sitapur Eye Hospital since July 2011 till date. My hospital is situated 450 Km from New Delhi, the capital of India.

This region where I practise is one of the most populous and backward in term of health facilities in North India. I am 6 years old in field of Ophthalmology and 3 years in field of retina, so I had some areas where I felt little bit short of experience like in managing advanced PVR and TRD in Diabetic patients. Since I am the only person taking care of Posterior segment in the hospital, I needed to discuss certain aspects of disease management with some experienced person, which I thought that ICO fellowship will be a great opportunity to not only see but also discuss with amongst the best in the world.
