🚑 CPR Awareness Week Activity 💓

The Department of Physiology, KIMS, KVV, Karad conducted a session on “Basic Life Support and Use of AED” at Jaywant College of Engineering & Polytechnic on 14th October 2025.

Dr. Omkar S. Kulkarni, Dr. Shubham Jadhav, and Mr. Ankush Kadam guided students through hands-on CPR training with great enthusiasm.

KIMS successfully conducted 4 workshops on Patient Safety & Clinical Risk Management (PSCRM) for our JR-1 postgraduate residents, based on the WHO Patient Safety Curriculum Guide.

🎓 Faculty Achievement | KIMS Karad

We are proud to share that Dr. Gauri Shinde, Assistance Professor , Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology, was invited as Faculty Panelist at the “Learn, Unlearn & Relearn” Conference held on 19–20 July 2025 in Solapur, organized by the Solapur Obstetrics & Gynecology Society.

She contributed to a Panel Discussion on Placenta Accreta Syndrome and was honored with the “OBGY Pillars of Progress” Award for her contributions to the field.

Congratulations to Dr. Gauri Shinde for this recognition and for bringing pride to our institute!

🌟 Faculty Achievement Alert! 🌟

We are proud to announce that Dr. Manisha Laddad, from the Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology, was honoured with the "Stalwart in OBGYN Award" by the Solapur Obstetrics and Gynaecology Society 🏆

The award ceremony was held on 19th July 2025 at Hotel Balaji Sarovar, Solapur.

👏 Dr. Laddad also contributed as a panelist on the topic "Placenta Accreta Spectrum" and served as a judge for the paper presentation session, reflecting her dedication to academic and clinical excellence.

🧠🎨 Poster Competition | World No To***co Day 2025 🛑🚭

To mark World No To***co Day, KIMS hosted a vibrant poster competition on 17th June 2025, centered around the theme "Unmask the Appeal."

🧑‍⚕️👩‍⚕️ A total of 23 postgraduate students from ENT, Psychiatry, Community Medicine, and Pathology showcased their creativity and advocacy through thought-provoking posters.

✨ Adding more depth, faculty and interns contributed 4 non-competitive posters, and a video reel was curated by interns from Community Medicine.

📍Held at the KIMS foyer, the event was inaugurated by Dr. Yugantara Kadam, Dean, and judged by Dr. Supriya Patil and Dr. Sujata Kanetkar.

A big thank you to all the faculty who graced the occasion and supported the cause! 💙

This initiative aimed to ignite awareness and engage the medical community in the fight against to***co. Let’s continue to inspire change—one poster at a time! 💪🚭

🎓 KIMS Convocation 2025 | 3rd June 2025 🎓

Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences proudly celebrated its Convocation 2025, honoring graduates from MBBS, MD/MS, MCh/DM, BSc, MSc, MPH, Diploma & DMLT courses.

Degrees were conferred by Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Dr. Neelam Mishra, with inspiring words on ethics and lifelong learning. Also gracing the dais were Dr. Yugantara Kadam (Dean), Dr. Vijay Kanase (Medical Director), and Dr. Ramchandra Naniwadekar (Medical Administrator).

The 13th Convocation Ceremony of Krishna Vishwa Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University), Karad was successfully held today with great pride and joy.

The ceremony was graced by Hon’ble Shri. C. P. Radhakrishnan, Governor of Maharashtra, as the Chief Guest, and presided over by Hon’ble Dr. Suresh Bhosale, Chancellor of KVV, who continues to lead the institution with vision and commitment.

दिनांक 31 मे जागतिक तंबाखू विरोधी दिनानिमित्त कृष्णा विश्व विद्यापीठामध्ये मानसोपचार विभाग पब्लिक हेल्थ विभाग कान नाक घसा विभाग यांच्या सहकार्याने राष्ट्रीय आरोग्य अभियान अंतर्गत जागतिक तंबाखू विरोधी दिनानिमित्त व्यसनमुक्ती वर आधारित प्रभावी पथनाट्य सादर केले या उपक्रमाच्या उद्दिष्टानुसार तंबाखू व अन्य व्यसनांच्या दुष्परिणामाबाबत लोकांच्या मध्ये जनजागृती निर्माण केली तंबाखू मुक्तीचा महत्त्वपूर्ण संदेश लोकांच्या पर्यंत पोहोचवण्यात पथनाट्यांमध्ये यश आले पथनाट्यामध्ये तंबाखूचे शारीरिक, मानसिक, सामाजिक, आर्थिक शैक्षणिक दुष्परिणाम अत्यंत प्रभावीपणे सादर केले होते तसेच तंबाखूमुक्त विभागाला भेट देऊन योग्य वेळी तपासणी केली तर आपण तंबाखूमुक्त होऊ आणि भारताला तंबाखूमुक्त युवा पिढी निर्माण करता येईल असा मोलाचा संदेश पथनाट्यातून मिळाला यासाठी डॉक्टर शैलजा पाटील यांच्या मार्गदर्शनाखाली नर्सिंग कॉलेजच्या विद्यार्थ्यांनी पथनाट्य केले व लोकांचा उत्स्फूर्त प्रतिसाद ही मिळाला

📚 Workshop on Designing Application-Based Questions

KIMS Karad successfully hosted a dynamic workshop on "Designing Application-Based Questions" organized by the Curriculum Committee. Faculty members received expert training in crafting scenario- and reasoning-based questions aligned with the latest NMC guidelines.

The insightful sessions were led by NMC Faculty Mentors Dr. Santosh Salagre (Professor & HOD, Medicine) and Dr. Raakhi Tripathi (Associate Professor, Pharmacology) from GMC & KEM, Mumbai.

👩‍🏫👨‍🏫 Faculty enthusiastically engaged in hands-on group activities, collaboratively creating high-quality, application-focused MCQs and theory questions.
