Cake mixing has a rich history dating back centuries in Europe, where families gathered to blend fruits, nuts, spices, and spirits weeks before Christmas to allow the cake to mature into a rich festive treat. Today, this cherished custom continues as a symbol of togetherness, sharing, and celebration especially meaningful in a senior care home, where building community and joyful memories matters most.
