A stroke happens when there is a loss of blood flow to part of the brain. Your brain cells cannot get the oxygen and nutrients they need from blood, and they start to die within a few minutes. This can cause lasting brain damage, long-term disability, or even death.

There are two types of stroke:

Ischemic stroke is caused by a blood clot that blocks or plugs a blood vessel in the brain. This is the most common type; about 80% of strokes are ischemic.

Hemorrhagic stroke is caused by a blood vessel that breaks and bleeds into the brain.

The symptoms of a stroke often happen quickly. They include:

Sudden numbness or weakness of the face, arm, or leg (especially on one side of the body)
Sudden confusion, trouble speaking, or understanding speech
Sudden trouble seeing in one or both eyes
Sudden difficulty walking, dizziness, loss of balance or coordination
Sudden severe headache with no known cause

In Ayurveda, stroke is described as Pakshaghata, a condition caused by an aggravated Vata Dosha affecting the brain and nervous system.

Ischemic Stroke is conceptualized as obstruction in the vital channels.

Hemorrhagic Stroke is viewed as injury/rupture of the blood-carrying Srotas.

Stages of Stroke Recovery in Ayurveda

Acute Stage: Focus: Vata pacification and stabilizing vital functions.
Therapies: Gentle Abhyanga, mild Basti, internal herbs.

Subacute Stage: Focus: Detoxification, early neuro-muscular stimulation.

Endometriosis is a disorder in which tissue similar to the lining of your uterus grows outside of your uterine cavity.
The lining of your uterus is called the endometrium. In endometriosis, endometrial-like tissue can grow on the:
ovaries
fallopian tubes
tissues holding the uterus in place
outer surface of the uterus

Pelvic pain is the most common symptom of endometriosis. You may also have the following symptoms:
painful menstrual cramps
bleeding between periods
infertility
pain during or after sexual in*******se
painful bowel movements
pain when urinating during periods

Cervical spondylosis can develop either with or without an injury or accident. For those whose condition is not caused by an accident or injury, they are usually in the at-risk group due to poor posture and incorrect use of the neck and back muscles. This group can include, for example, those sitting in one position using an iPad for long periods of time, or particularly those who work at a computer for many hours each day—people in this category tend to have issues with neck pain or pain in the shoulders and shoulder blades, often experiencing a sharp, electric shock-like pain radiating down the arm, numbness, and in some cases, muscle weakness to the point of being unable to carry out normal work or daily tasks.
According to Ayurveda, the major line of treatment for cervical spondylosis is to normalize the flow of Vata Dosha (Movement Force).
