We are opening a 28-day, in-person Yoga Teacher Training this March at Hinterland Village.

This is a nervous system–informed TTC for aspiring and practicing teachers who want to teach from presence, regulation, and embodied understanding.

This training is designed to support:

- deep nervous system regulation
- embodied self-study before leadership
- clear, responsive, trauma-aware teaching
- sustainable practice and facilitation

You will learn how to:

- recognise nervous system states in yourself and others
- regulate before guiding
- sense timing, pacing, and readiness
- hold spaces that feel safe, grounded, and trustworthy

This is a living immersion*

Learning happens through daily practice, relationship, and village life — not just through information.

The group is intentionally small.

Do you know that feeling of being around someone and your body just settles?

They’re not doing anything special.

They’re not fixing you.

They’re simply there — present, spacious, steady.

Rainee used to believe she wasn’t that person.

She wasn’t unhappy.

But inside, there was always a subtle ‘bracing’.

A sense of being “on”.

In practice, she noticed how quickly her attention scattered.

In life, she was triggered by small things.

At night, her body stayed alert long after she lay down.

When Rainee began nervous system–informed practice, nothing dramatic happened at first.

She learned to sit and feel her breath — not control it.

She noticed a gentle widening through the ribs.

A softening around the chest she didn’t realise had been held for years.

After a few weeks, she said something quietly surprising:

“I feel like there’s more space inside me.”

Her breath felt freer.

She slept through the night — something she hadn’t done consistently in years.

What changed most wasn’t her mood.

She said,

“I wasn’t sad before.

But now I feel more joyful.”

More patient.

More tolerant.

More able to pause before responding.

Not because she was trying to be calm —

but because her system had learned how to settle and stay.

When regulation deepens enough that your presence becomes grounding —

for yourself first, and then naturally for others.

It isn’t something you perform.

It’s something that emerges when your nervous system no longer lives in constant fight/flight.

This is the foundation of nervous system–informed teaching.

Before guiding others,

you learn how to stay with yourself.

Before leading,

you learn how to regulate.

This is the work we do inside our in-person TTC at Hinterland Village.

Not to create perfect teachers —

but regulated, present, trustworthy ones.
