🔶️Vriksasana or Tree Pose is an asana. Sanskrit: वृक्षासन; Vriksha – Tree, Asana – Pose; Pronounced as – vrik-SHAHS-anna

🔷️🔶️HOW TO COME TO THIS POSTURE🔶️🔷️

🔶️Stand absolutely erect and drop your arms to the side of your body.

🔶️Slightly bend your right knee, and then, place the right foot high up on your left thigh. Make sure that the sole is placed firm and flat on the root of the thigh.

🔶️Your left leg needs to be absolutely erect. Once you have assumed this position, breathe, and find your balance.

🔶️Now, inhale, and gently raise your arms over your head and bring them together in a ‘namaste’ mudra.

🔶️Look straight at a distant object and hold your gaze. This will help you maintain balance.

🔶️Keep your spine straight. Note that your body needs to be taut, yet elastic. Take in deep breaths, and every time you exhale, relax your body more.

🔶️Gently bring your hands down from the sides, and release the right leg.

🔶️Come back to the original position of standing tall and straight as you did at the beginning of the practice. Repeat this pose with the left leg.

🔷️🔶️PRECAUTIONS AND CONTRAINDICATIONS🔷️🔶️

Those who suffer from high blood pressure should not raise their arms above the head for a long period of time. They can be held at the chest in the namaste mudra

🔶️Utkata konasana (oot-KAH-tuh cone-AHS-uh-nuh), also known as the goddess pose or fiery angle pose, is a pose to help activate base energy centers while stretching and toning the lower body.

🔶🔷HOW TO BE IN THE POSTURE🔷🔶

🔶Start in a wide standing stance. Turn your toes out and your heels in, so your feet are pointed out at about a 45-degree angle.

🔶Bend your knees in the same direction as your toes, and lower your hips down toward the height of your knees.

🔶Reach your arms out at shoulder height and bend your elbows so that your fingertips point skyward. Spread your fingertips wide and activate the muscles across your back.

🔶Engage your core muscles and draw your tailbone toward the floor. Keep your spine long.

🔶Stay here for 30 seconds to one minute, then release.

🔶🔷PRECAUTIONS AND CONTRAINDICATIONS 🔷🔶

🔶If you have a hip, ankle or knee injury, then avoid practicing this pose.

🔶In case of a shoulder injury, you should place your hands on the heart center.

🔶Utkata Konasana generates heat in your body which is not suitable for people with hypertension.

VAJRASANA
🔶Sanskrit: वज्रासन; Vajra – Diamond or Thunderbolt, Asana – Pose; Pronounced as vahj-RAH-sah-na

️🔷️How to do VAJRASANA🔷️🔶️

🔶️Kneel down, stretching your lower legs backward and keeping them together. Your big toes and heels should be as closely held as possible. People with stiff ankles can support the joint by rolling a towel underneath to support the ankle arch.

🔷️Gently lower your body such that your buttocks are resting on your heels and your thighs on your calf muscles.

🔶️Place your hands on your knees, and set your gaze forward with your head absolutely straight.

🔷️Turn your attention to your breathing. Be fully aware of how you breathe and carefully observe as you inhale and exhale.

🔶️You could close your eyes to concentrate on your breathing and to calm your mind.

🔷️Try to stay in this position for a minimum of 5 to 10 minutes.

🔷️🔶️PRECAUTIONS AND CONTRADICTIONS 🔶️🔷️

🔶️It is best to avoid this asana if you have a knee problem or have undergone surgery in your knees recently.

🔷️Pregnant women should keep their knees slightly apart when they practice this asana so that they avoid putting pressure on their abdomen.

🔶️Try not to over arch or overuse your lumbar spine to sit erect.

🔷️Those suffering from intestinal ulcers, hernia, or any other problems related to the large or small intestine should practice this pose under the guidance of a yoga instructor.
