SNIMS organized a Cervical Cancer Screening Camp in association with Parakkadavu Block Panchayat, Puthenvelikkara Grama Panchayat and Taluk Hospital on 30th September 2025 at Puthenvelikkara Taluk Hospital. The Department of Gynaecology and Pathology rendered their wholehearted support for the event. The doctors who led the camp were Dr. Sajitha Surendran, Consultant Gynaec Oncologist, and Dr. Sharmila S. Vandhana, Consultant in Obstetrics & Gynaecology. World Heart Day 2025

Sree Narayana Institute of Medical Sciences celebrated World Heart Day 2025 with a series of impactful programs aimed at spreading awareness on heart health and the importance of preventive care.

The event was inaugurated by Executive Director Lt. General Dr. Ajith Nilakantan PVSM, Sree Narayana Institute of Medical Sciences, who emphasized the need for vigilance in cardiac care and greater attention to community health.

A highlight of the day was the launch of the new Cardiology Health Check-up Package, designed to ensure early detection and effective management of heart diseases. As part of the launch, Dr. Jain (Cardiologist) and Dr. Sreenath (Cardiologist) exchanged a symbolic token, which was handed over to Executive Director Lt. General Dr. Ajith Nilakantan PVSM.

Dr. Sreenath led an awareness session on the symptoms of heart disease and precautionary measures.
Ms. Aleena conducted a session on preventive strategies, followed by an engaging Q&A session where the public actively participated.
The program concluded with a gift distribution ceremony.

For public benefit, free BP checks, random blood sugar (GRBS) tests, and pulse monitoring were organized.
Additionally, Yoga Therapist and Yoga Trainer Ms. Lakshmi Devi conducted a special yoga session for staff, focusing on heart health and mental well-being.

World Pharmacist Day 2025 – Awareness Session at Sree Narayana Institute of Medical Sciences

In celebration of World Pharmacist Day 2025, Sree Narayana Institute of Medical Sciences organized an awareness session to highlight the vital contributions of pharmacists to society.

The event was inaugurated by our Executive Director, Lt Gen. Dr. Ajith Nilakantan PVSM , who delivered a valuable and inspiring speech to the public, emphasizing the pivotal role pharmacists play in healthcare.

Dr. Manjusha K, Deputy Medical Superintendent & Dr Abhima M B ,Professor & HOD of pharmacology department led an engaging awareness session and quiz program, sharing important information about the proper usage of medicines and necessary precautions with both the general public and hospital staff. The quiz provided an interactive platform to enhance understanding and appreciation of pharmacy services.

The event was well coordinated by the dedicated pharmacy department staff and led by Ms. Haima M S, Deputy Pharmacy Manager, ensuring smooth ex*****on throughout the day.

At the conclusion of the program, prizes were distributed to quiz participants as a token of appreciation for their enthusiastic involvement.

This event successfully reinforced the important role pharmacists play in promoting health and well-being in the community.
