The Christmas programme “NUHRO 2025”, comprising a Public Meeting and Christmas Carol Service, was held on Friday, 19th December 2025, at 3.00 pm at the Medical College Conference Hall. The event was organized with great reverence and festive spirit, witnessing active participation from the medical mission family.
The programme began with a Carol Song and Prayer Song by the Hospital Choir, followed by a welcome address by Shri. Joy P. Jacob, Secretary & CEO, M.O.S.C Medical Mission. Lt.Col. Gracy Joseph (Retd.) had the first Bible reading.
The Presidential Address was delivered by His Grace Yuhanon Mar Polycarpos Metropolitan, Diocese of Angamali, and Vice President, M.O.S.C Medical Mission, who emphasized the true spirit of Christmas love, service, and compassion. The second Bible reading was read by Ms. Gisha Joseph.
The Christmas Message was delivered by Dr. Cyriac Thomas, Former Vice-Chancellor of Mahatma Gandhi University, highlighting the relevance of Christ’s message of hope and peace in contemporary society. Prayers were led by Rev. Fr. Sibimon B., Assistant Chaplain, and Rev. Dn. Sibin Varghese.
The programme featured several Carol Songs by the Hospital Choir, enhancing the festive atmosphere. Awards were distributed to winners of the Bible Quiz, Poster Making, Christmas Card, and Graffiti Art competitions.
The Vote of Thanks was proposed by Rev. Fr. John Kuriakose, Chaplain
As part of the celebrations, a Christmas Carol Competition was conducted with teams from Nursing Services, Medical College, Hospital Staff, Allied Health Sciences, and College of Nursing, along with a vibrant Nativity Play. The event concluded with Prize Distribution, marking a joyful and meaningful celebration of Christmas.

World Mental Health Day 2025. The Department of Psychiatry organized the World Mental Health Day program on October 10, 2025. The event was hosted by Mr. Francis Moothedan, with the introductory session led by Dr. Nisha A. The program featured a dance performance and a skit presented by the nursing students, aimed at creating awareness about mental health and emotional well-being. Dr. Sumit Dutta addressed the gathering and delivered an informative talk on mental health, the importance of meditation, and the growing awareness of mental health among the youth. The event was attended by Shri Joy P. Jacob (Secretary), along with other dignitaries, doctors, nurses, and students. The session concluded with an emphasis on the need for continued efforts to promote positive mental health and emotional resilience within the community.

The consecration of the Health Mart was held on October 9, 2025. The ceremony was graced with blessings by Rev. Fr. John Kuriakose, Chaplain, and Rev. Fr. Sibimon B., Assistant Chaplain. Shri Joy P. Jacob (Secretary), Shri Sunny K. Peter (Organizing Secretary), and Shri Aju Jacob (Treasurer) joined the hospital staff in marking the occasion with their active presence and wholehearted participation.

MOSC Medical College Shines at KUHS B-Zone Table Tennis Tournament

The Table Tennis teams of MOSC Medical College displayed exceptional skill, teamwork, and sportsmanship at the KUHS B-Zone Table Tennis Tournament held today at Government Medical College, Konni.

The Girls’ Team brought laurels to the institution by securing the Second Runners-up position after a series of spirited and competitive matches. Their commitment and perseverance were truly commendable.

The Boys’ Team also showcased commendable performance, finishing in Fourth position, demonstrating great determination and talent on the court.

The college community proudly congratulates all the players for their remarkable achievements and extends special appreciation to Mr. Job K. John, Lecturer in Physical Education, for his dedicated guidance, motivation, and continuous support that contributed to the teams’ success.

A New Chapter Unfolds

The Medical Students’ Fellowship Meeting began with a heartfelt prayer led by Asst. Chaplain Fr. Sibimon B. The gathering was blessed with an inspiring keynote address by Chaplain Fr. John Kuriakose, setting a reflective and uplifting tone for the evening.

College Union General Secretary Mr. Joel Daniel and Joint Secretary Ms. Pavithra Santhosh extended a warm welcome to everyone, followed by felicitations from Arts Secretary Mr. Febin John Biju.
Beautiful music by Hannah Mary George on the keyboard and Tania Marian Mathew on vocals added a soulful touch, making the evening truly special.
