On the occasion of World Cancer Day, Kolhapur Cancer Centre – Cancer Centers of America, in association with Terapanth Mahila Mandal, Ichalkaranji, organised a free health check-up and cervical cancer screening camp.

A total of 185 patients were screened, with 175 Pap smear tests conducted—taking an important step toward early detection and prevention. The initiative began with an insightful awareness session on Cervical Cancer, its types, and treatment, led by Dr. Reshma Pawar, Executive Director, Kolhapur Cancer Centre.

Celebrating the 77th Republic Day with Pride & Purpose

At Kolhapur Cancer Centre – Cancer Centers of America, Republic Day was observed with dignity as the tricolour was hoisted by Sister Afia Jamadar, who has dedicated 18 years of selfless service to patient care.

Her message, “Patient care is divine service,” reflected a journey rooted in compassion, resilience, and unwavering commitment—from Purvai Hospital to Kolhapur Cancer Centre. She reminded us that Republic Day is not only about rights, but about our duty to serve society by giving patients hope and care.

Dr. Reshma Pawar highlighted the importance of unity and collective effort in strengthening our mission. The celebration also included felicitating winners of badminton and cricket competitions, adding joy and togetherness to the occasion.
