Low Vision Awareness Month is observed throughout February.

This month is dedicated to raising awareness about visual impairments that cannot be fully corrected by glasses, contact lenses, medication, or surgery.

It often coincides with Age-Related Macular Degeneration (AMD) Awareness Month, as AMD is a leading cause of low vision.

A successful completion of an eye screening initiative at the Vivekananda Urban Homeless Shelter. This camp was organized under the supervision of the Baruipur Municipality and managed by the Pran Unit.

Providing specialized care to vulnerable populations is a core pillar of Amulya Jyoti Eye Foundation. During this session:

* 30 residents underwent detailed eye examinations.

* Critical eye health issues were identified for follow-up care.

* We strengthened our commitment to community-based healthcare.

We extend our sincere thanks to the Baruipur Municipality and the Pran Unit for their excellent coordination. We look forward to many more such impactful collaborations in 2026
