Tata Medical Center The Tata Medical Center, Kolkata a Rs 350 crore, world class, not-for-profit hospital, stands as a beacon of hope for cancer patients.

The Tata Medical Center (TMC), Kolkata is a philanthropic initiative from the house of Tata's. Its mission is to promote prevention, early diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation, palliation and research for cancer patients. The hospital aims to be one of the leading Cancer Care and Research Institutions in the country benefiting West Bengal as well as
adjoining neighboring countries. TMC, with a capacity of 167 beds (Phase 1) is geared to serve all sections of the society, with almost 50% earmarked for subsidized treatment of underprivileged sections. Driven by the ethos to make the cancer patients feel at home, an accommodation facility is built on one acre of land donated by the Tata Group, just 500 meters away from the Tata Medical Center, Kolkata. This facility called Premashraya, Home Away from Home was inaugurated on 3rd July, 2015. It provides subsidized accommodation to patients and their support coming from outside the city.

To commemorate Rabindranath Tagore's 156th birth anniversary - on 7th May, our , and staff along with Doctors and Staff from Tata Medical Center, celebrated Rabindra Jayanti.

The began with our children singing 'Amra Nutan Jouboner Dut' and was followed by them reciting 'Rusa Goldar Nirjharer Swapnabhanga' - a powerful poem about the triumph of human spirit. dressed in beautiful Bengali saris sang 'Alo Amar Alo Ogo', which the audience thoroughly enjoyed.
