Today's ( 24/02/2021) Deputation: Immediate Publication of the results of 1st, 2nd and 3rd Professional BDS.

It being noticed that the results for the 1st 2nd and 3rd Professional BDS examination are being delayed considerably, causing much difficulty to the respective students.
Therefore we went to our Principal sir, informing him of the same and requested him to take necessary results.
Sir has assured that he will speak to the necessary authority and see to it that the results are being published in no time.

It is being noticed that a certain group of people residing adjacent to our Hostel are associated with disturbing activities beside our hostel campus such as drinking liquor, playing loud music, passing lewd comments etc, which are affecting the students in studying, moreover the females students find themselves extremely uncomfortable and unsafe in such environment.
And also, there are multiple issues in the hostel which the boarders have to face, and they find themselves in a difficult situation as the Hostel superintendent is not available and approachable in the hostel.
We therefore went to our hostel superintendent sir and have requested to see to the matter and take necessary actions, we have also demanded that he being the hostel super, should stay in the hostel with the students so that the students feel secured in this environment.

Today's (18/02/2021) Deputation : Installation of drinking water facilities in every department of the Hospital and follow up of the deputation dated 03/02/2021

We went to the Hospital Superintendent sir today, to inform him about the difficulties faced by the students and the patients in having drinking water, in our college. The pre-existing water purifiers are lying non functional since long, therefore it's very difficult to every one.
Moreover, the hostel water purifiers that were repaired after our deputation, have again given in.
Therefore the hostel boarders are facing immense problems in arranging potable water.
We have therefore requested our sir to immediately look into the issue and repair the existing water purifiers in our Hostel, at the earliest and take necessary measures to initiate installation of new water purifiers at each department of the college and each floor of the hostel.

Today's ( 13/02/2021) Deputation: Cleanliness of Ladies Common Room and ladies washroom

It has been seen for quite an amount of time that the ladies common room and the washroom associated to it, are poorly maintained. They are unclean and unhygienic and therefore, are lying in unusable conditions.
Due to this the females students and Junior doctors, are facing a daily difficulty in sanitation facilities.

We have, therefore requested our Superintendent sir to immediately take necessary steps to ensure proper cleanliness and hygiene, and restore the areas to usable conditions as soon as possible. He has assured that he will look into the matter seriously, and have asked for a 7 days time period for proper restoration of the conditions.

Final year is one of the toughest tenure in the entire curriculum of BDS, having to study 07 subjects in a single year, moreover the clinical duty adds to the workload.
In the post COVID 19 situation, the current tenure of the batch being reduced to an extent, the students are finding extremely difficult to handle the study and clinical works together.
Clinical Prosthodontic work being one of the strenous and hectic area in the entire curriculum, we fear that such an workload can affect the studying capability of the students.
Therefore we have requested the HOD, Dept of Prosthodontics, to consider the situation on humanitarian grounds and reduce the clinical workload of the students to an extent that may not affect the normal studying capability of the students,
And we are happy to inform that sir has responded to our plea and reduced the minimum number of Complete Denture(CD) to 02(two) nos.

We are thankful to our HOD sir, Dept. of Prosthodontics, for thinking abt the general students and taking a decision in favour of them.

Today's (10/2/2021) Deputation: Permanent Solution of Hostel Mess Facility:

It has been a long standing problem related to the hostel mess facilities. Due to the absence of a permanent facility, the boarders are facing immense problem in arranging their daily meals. The authority has come up with multiple temporary solutions in the past, where we have only witnessed poor hygiene and substandard quality of food.
Therefore we demand a permanent solution to this problem with immediate effect, and requested our Superintendent sir to look into the matter.
Sir has assured us that he will arrange a college council meeting tomorrow to discuss about the problem and reach a solution within 7 days.

It was wonderful to have National Jt. Secretary (organisation) Shri Niwas Ji, and Shri Govind Naik Ji, in charge of Eastern Region, in between us, today.
It was inspiring to listen to them, in betterment of our college, profession and the general scenario of our State.
