First of its kind a society named “PARKINSON’S DISEASE PATIENTS WELFARE SOCIETY KOLKATA” has been formed by Patients, Care givers, Therapists, Scientific Researchers, Doctors in Kolkata under President ship of Dr. Hrishikesh Kumar, an eminent Neurologist with specialisation in Movement Disorder, Vice-Chairman of Institute of Neurosciences, Kolkata. More than thousands of people are suffering fro

m Parkinson’s disease in Eastern India among them most from the West Bengal itself. It is the endeavour of Dr. Kumar who made it possible to bring some eminent doctors, research associates, therapists, patients, care givers, social activists under one umbrella as support system to PD patients. PDPWSK is a registered charity society. The Society was founded in 2014 and is registered under the WEST BENGAL SOCIETIES REGISTRATION ACT, 1961.
