October, marked globally as Breast Cancer Awareness Month, culminated in a highly impactful session at the Medella Karkinos Oncology Institute on October 31st. This event, dedicated to breast cancer awareness and screening, brought together leading oncologists and over 50 women from our community for a day of education and proactive health.

The session featured insightful lectures from a panel of experienced oncologists, including our very own Dr Sayoni Bhanja- Medical Oncologist and Dr Palas De (Radiation Oncologist).

Driving Cancer Awareness & Advanced Care in Rural West Bengal!

In response to the rising incidence of cancer, Medella Karkinos Oncology Institute, in partnership with the Progressive Rural Medical Practitioner’s Welfare Association, recently hosted a high-impact CME and Cancer Awareness Program in Habra, North 24 Parganas.

This crucial session brought together over 55 Rural Medical Practitioners (RMPs), empowering them with the latest insights on cancer care and early detection for their communities.

We are proud to highlight that our very own Medical Oncologist Dr Sayoni Bhanja- Medical Oncologist and Radiation Oncologist Dr Palas De were present and experts from their team highlighted the importance of precision medicine, molecular diagnostics, and targeted therapies, which are significantly improving treatment outcomes for patients with high-risk cancers.

These advanced approaches are significantly improving treatment outcomes for patients, especially those with high-risk cancers.

This initiative truly embodies our commitment to bringing cutting-edge oncology knowledge and care to every corner of Bengal.
