As a therapist, professional meetups were never really about personal branding or growth until yesterday (20th October 2025), when I attended event organized by at , Al Quoz, Dubai.

It turned out to be a much needed conversation for therapists. Our years of academic and clinical training often teach us to blend in, to stay in the background, and to let the work speak for itself. But in today’s changing world, it’s becoming increasingly important for trained professionals to speak about what we do so that the public can understand where and how to access the best care and services.

Once again, thank you , for opening this door for me. It was truly wonderful to listen to each of the speakers and connect with like minded therapists here in the UAE🇦🇪

Mental health issues are not trends or modern labels.
They’re recognized conditions which are defined by research, not opinions.
Let’s talk facts, not stigma.

This Doctors’ Day, let’s move beyond applause — and begin to ask deeper questions.
Who heals the ones who heal us?

💙 Let’s care for the emotional and mental well-being of doctors — our real-life superheroes who give, even when they’re running on empty.

“Why am I like this?”
If you’ve ever asked yourself that, this post might be for you.

Sometimes the patterns we carry into adulthood—perfectionism, people-pleasing, difficulty trusting—aren’t flaws.
They’re survival strategies shaped by our earliest experiences.

Childhood trauma doesn’t always look like “big events.”
It can be emotional neglect, being constantly criticized, or feeling unsafe being your true self.

These signs aren’t proof that you’re broken.
They’re proof that you adapted.

And healing is not about fixing yourself—it’s about remembering you were never broken to begin with.

You deserve support. You deserve safety. You deserve to heal.

Save this post if it resonated, or share it with someone who might need it.

Have you ever paused to ask—
“Would I want my child to have the same childhood I did?”

So many of us carry silent echoes of fear, criticism, or the need to be “perfect”—shaped by what we once believed we had to be in order to feel loved, accepted, or safe.

This is a space to gently explore:
• What did your younger self learn about making mistakes?
• About speaking up?
• About being enough, just as you are?

And now, as adults, we get to ask—
Do I still want to carry these messages forward?
Or is it time to reparent myself with more compassion and choice?

Swipe through, reflect, and if you feel safe to, share what resonates most.

🌿✨ Self-Regulation & Emotion Regulation ✨🌿

In our fast-paced world, mastering self-regulation and emotion regulation is essential for maintaining balance and achieving our goals. 🌟

Self-Regulation involves managing our behaviors, thoughts, and impulses to achieve long-term success. It's about setting goals and staying focused, even when distractions arise.

Emotion Regulation is the ability to understand and manage our emotions, ensuring they work for us, not against us. It means recognizing our feelings, processing them healthily, and responding in a way that aligns with our values and objectives.

Here are a few tips to enhance these skills:

Mindfulness: Practice being present and aware of your thoughts and feelings without judgment.
Reflection: Regularly assess your goals and the progress you're making towards them.
Healthy Outlets: Find constructive ways to express and manage emotions, like journaling, exercising, or talking with a friend.
Self-Compassion: Treat yourself with kindness and patience, especially when things don't go as planned.
Remember, both self-regulation and emotion regulation are skills that can be developed with practice and patience. Embrace the journey of personal growth and watch as you unlock new levels of potential within yourself! 🌱💪

“Inside Out 2 is a must-watch! 🌟 As a clinical psychologist, I love how it portrays the complex emotions of adolescence, introducing new feelings like Envy, Embarrassment, Anxiety, and Ennui. The film beautifully illustrates the development of self-beliefs and the importance of emotional balance. Inspired by Internal Family Systems Therapy, which I’ve been using in my sessions, it shows how all emotions are valuable. Highly recommended for anyone wanting to understand their inner emotional world. 💡 ”
