After a few months running on the beach felt difficult. After the first 1 kilometer there was so much tightness in my back I felt I have to go back. Then I stopped for some time. Did some stretching and then continued slowly. I told myself that I'll do it in small parcels. After each 2 minutes of jogging I walked for 30 seconds. Then again like that till half way mark. On the run back I was able to jog for 5 minutes continously and then walk for a minute and covered 7.6 km in one hour

Nothing is impossible if one wants to do it. It's all in the mind.

I get a lot of people who when I tell about exercises give excuses like, back pain, back surgery, tiredness, palpitations, doctor advised not to do and such.

My father Dr. P. E. Abraham always says that if one can eat then one should exercise also.

Recently a friend of mine narrated an incident that happened with a relative of his. This gentlemen is quite rich and used to food and alcohol and once in a while when he gets a problem used to get admitted in big multi-speciality hospitals in Kochi, Kerala, India. He would get treated and would be back to his usual style of indulgence soon after. This used to happen quite frequently. Once he was admitted he came out in a coffin.

There is a limit to the expertise of doctors and technology to bring back health to a perosn who repeatedly tortured ones own body. Some even over-exert themselves in doing exercises.

Around 25 years ago I had the honour to meet an Indian listed as 7th richest in West Asia. He said "I keep my health to enjoy my wealth"

I wish more people understood this

What choice does the world have when the Global North controlled by these powerful lobbies dictate what we eat and how we live?

I mourn the death of my favorite leader Mr. Oommen Chandy, who led by example.

Like his predecessor Mr. K. Karunakaran, Mr. Chandy was instrumental in many positive changes that happened in Kerala. Such visionaries are seldom seen.

Disease first starts in the level of the mind. After giving to the state a stellar government he was hounded by allegations which he wouldn't have even dreamt of, he must have been shattered.

How did we repay the leader who gave us so much? We the people of Kerala stabbed him on his back.

We still can correct the mistakes of the past. I hope the leaders of the state would come together to make Kerala clean, green, great and healthy. Let us set aside differences in politics, caste, colour and religion to make Kerala great again. Let us not stab our fellow in the back.

The trend of people in the cities and towns not voting or getting involved in the day to day affairs of the locality should stop. We all are guardians of our town, State and country.

Let us not fight against each other but fight for a better tomorrow to create a better human race

Jai Hind. Jai Kerala

I've seen a lot of attire during this pandemic from funny ones to sci-fi resembling ones. The best have been worn by our politicians ,covering their mouth and nose with towels. The pore size of a N95 mask is 0.9 microns and the size of one Corona virus is 0.1 micron. Now tell me which is the best way to protect oneself.

BE RESPONSIBLE

My dear friends,

I think this thing about corona virus is gone overboard.

Lots of people are affected all over the world due to the shut down more than the virus. The rich, politicians and the celebrities have big pockets to dig in even after everything runs out. What will the poor do? What will the daily-wage worker do?

Corona virus, according to available data, is highly contagious. In vast majority it will cause fever and loose stools and people will recover, provided good medical care is given. If people could be responsible and self quarantine themselves so that the others in the public do not affected then there is no better solution. Sadly this is not happening. Everyone has given up their selfish ways and want to share the virus with everyone. The government is left with no other choice other than to shut down. The ones who are already affected fail to realize that with a shut down, the daily lives of millions around them are affected.

Now that the politicians, celebrities and rich have taken up the cause of the virus infection it has been blown out-of proportion and it is reaching a point of no-return.

I call upon my friends all over the world to stop posting material on Whatsaap and Facebook and such social media. Stop checking for updates every other minute. We need to go back to a normal routine and that should happen soon, otherwise we would push the world into a crisis from which it will be difficult to recover.

Please be responsible. Take care of your health and if not in good health avoid infecting others. Avoid unnecessary posts on social media.
