The perfect way to celebrate Kargil Vijay Diwas, by erecting the statue of martyr Cpt Vikram, son of our beloved Rtn PKPV Panicker & Kalyani Panicker.

It all started in the year before the pandemic when the then president, Rtn Ashwin Simon announced the project along with the secretary Rtn Adip Salim. The program took off with Rtn Jayanth Kumar R as the program coordinator. Our dear Rtn Abdul Hameed designed the project & the work started with the involvement of the sculptor maker Gurukulam Babu.

Unfortunately, the COVID-19 hit the work and we were only able to complete the project this July. The official inauguration was done on 26th July, 2021 by Rotary district governor Dr Rajesh Subash as guest of honor & Brigadier Rajan A Y as chief guest.

Representing current Rotary board 2021-2022, president Rtn Sreejith Kalathil Balakrishnan, secretary Rtn Shanthi Ganga Soorej & program coordinator Rtn Jayanth Kumar R along with the parents of Cpt Vikram.

After my blog on “Female Ge***al mutation: A tool of gender inequality”, I took a long break from blogging because the effect of my research on Infibulation, the female ge***al mutilation was so enduring and suffocating. So here comes a lighter, but powerful and imperative topic - Menopause.

Every girl dreams about the months they are free of their menstrual misery. The day, they are free from the trouble of bleeding every month and the associated cramps and irritability. But once the girl becomes a woman, Menopause is something which no one wants to think or talk about. Rather than doing a lot of scientific lines on menopause, in this blog I would like to write about what one can do “ to age like fine wine”.

It was an honor to be invited to the College of Ayurveda and Research Center, Pune, to talk about my clinical experiences. To deliver a talk in front of PG students and eminent faculties there was one of the best experiences I have ever come across as a doctor.

Got a wonderful chance to share my experience about postnatal care in Ayurveda with some other AMAI doctors.

Due to network error it was not as smooth as I wanted. But true happiness occurred today when I got calls from some doctors regarding their doubts on postnatal care.
