Indian Railways has announced a welcome news for differently-abled passengers. The Railway Ministry has approved reservation for differently-abled passengers in trains, allowing them to book seats in advance. This decision will benefit differently-abled passengers in all reserved and mail trains, including Rajdhani Express, Shatabdi Express, Vande Bharat Train, Humsafar, and Duronto Express.

*Key Features:*

- 4 seats will be reserved in Sleeper and 3rd AC coaches, with 2 lower and 2 middle berths.
- Specially designed seats will be available in coaches C1 and C7 of 8-coach trains, with an additional seat for an attendant.
- Vande Bharat Express trains will have an es**rt or attendant to assist differently-abled passengers.

*Ticket Booking:*

- Online ticket booking will be available for differently-abled passengers with a valid Unique Identity Card issued by Railways.
- Passengers can also book tickets at reservation counters with a copy of the Unique Identity Card and concession certificate.

This decision will provide relief to differently-abled passengers who previously faced difficulties due to lack of reserved seats, despite getting concessions on train fares.
