As we observe 16 Days of Activism to end violence against Women and Children, we are raising the voices of our communities, to end the stigma, discrimination and violence towards people living with HIV. We support the UN call to end violence against our most vulnerable, particularly those who experience and face violence due to their HIV status.

Since the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic, evidence has shown that violence has increased during this time, adding to the stigma and discrimination of people living with HIV. We call on policymakers and governments to heed the call. It is time to end violence against women and children.
