The HBM Hospital family celebrated India's 70th Republic day with a flag hoisting ceremony at the HBM Hospital, a time of prayer for our leaders and the nation, 2 hours of 'Shram Dhan' where we cleaned up the hospital campus (while some cooked lunch) and then a picnic outing to Rajghat Dam!

Old is Gold!

We were blessed to have 7 of our retired HBM Hospital staff join us on Saturday night for the HBM Hospital Christmas Celebration.

Each one of these dear ones has served the HBM Family for many years - and what a joy it was to see them back in our midst! We celebrated their service with HBM hospital by giving them a small gift and having Rev. Kishore Mathews pray for them and their families.

Mrs. Irene Masih, Mrs. Hazel Masih, Mrs. Rajkumari, Mr. Manohar Lal, Mr. Kailash Kushwaha, Mr. Brij Lal and Mrs. Savitri have over a century of service at HBM Hospital between them!

Signs of change!

The HBM Hospital is putting up a fresh set of emergency and general information signs. We are grateful for the Mission Direct team whose support of the HDU project is helping us meet Fire Safety codes and provide logical bi-lingual signs for the whole HBM Hospital

The HBM Hospital wishes all our friends and supporters the joy and happiness that comes from Jesus.

We are so glad to celebrate His birth into this world in a poor village home, and his life of love to all, and his sacrificial death and his glorious resurrection! He is the reason why the HBM Hospital has served in Lalitpur for the past 86 years - and hope to do so for many joyous years to come!

We invite all our local friends to join us for a special Christmas celebration on Saturday 22nd of December at 5.30 PM at the Calvary RE Church on the HBM Campus. Please come with your families.

HBM Hospital has started admitting patients under the Ayushman Bharat - PM JAY scheme. Under this programme patients from eligible families get free in-patient care treatment at HBM Hospital. Currently we offer these services for our medical care and HDU. We are hoping to get empanelled for other services later.

We have admitted our second patient today. And will be reimbursed for our care of this patient by the UP State agency for health care services (SACHIS). We are happy to be caring for the poor of Lalitpur (and beyond) in this way!

The HBM Palliative Care team had our annual Thanksgiving and Christmas gathering with a number of the families who we are walking along with.

It was a joy to have a time of sharing where people who are receiving palliation, their care-giving family members and those who are survivors told about what they are thankful for over the past year and what they need prayer for.

One of the things that we realised is that most of us have some experience with end-of-life issues as even in the palliative care team we have cancer-survivors and those of us who have lost loved ones to life-limited diseases.

It was a joy to meet in our almost-finished new palliative care ward (with the stunning mural painted earlier this year by the Mission Direct team). Afterwards we all had a wonderful meal together which our HBM staff had cooked.

The HBM Hospital is glad to have a visit by 4 friends from the Prem Jyothi Hospital Community Health and Development Team in Chhandragodda, Jharkhand.

Last week the Prem Jyothi team visited our sister Kishangarh Watershed Management programme in Chhatarpur Dist. MP and spent the last 2 days with us to see how the HBM CHDP does watershed management in the 15 villages we serve in the Baar Block.

We are so glad to share our experiences, and even happier when over the past 2 days our village leaders spoke up and shared their learnings with our guests.

Good news that will bring great joy to all people!

The HBM Family is gearing up for the season of "Emmanuel" - where we celebrate that God became one of us - leaving His heavenly throne and being born in a poor village family!

Our staff have decorated the Outpatient Department hall - where we start each day with prayer and are busy getting ready for a month of celebration of Jesus!

Will you join us? We have our special Christmas function on Saturday evening the 22nd of December from 6 PM onwards. But the whole month and into the new year will be a time of celebration!
