The kidney, ureter, urinary bladder, and prostate were removed en bloc, adhering to strict oncological principles to ensure complete tumor clearance. Urinary diversion was performed through a cutaneous ureterostomy, considering the patientโs age and clinical condition.
Despite the complexity of the case, the procedure was completed entirely using a robotic approach with controlled blood loss and stable perioperative parameters. The minimally invasive technique facilitated early mobilisation and recovery.

A rare and clinically significant case was recently managed involving a 6-year-old female child, ๐๐ต๐ฒ๐๐๐ต๐ฎ, who presented with progressive ๐ท๐ฎ๐๐ป๐ฑ๐ถ๐ฐ๐ฒ (๐ถ๐ฐ๐๐ฒ๐ฟ๐๐) ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐ฎ๐ฏ๐ฑ๐ผ๐บ๐ถ๐ป๐ฎ๐น ๐ฑ๐ถ๐๐๐ฒ๐ป๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป (๐ฎ๐๐ฐ๐ถ๐๐ฒ๐) for nearly one month. During this period, she had received intermittent treatment from multiple local clinics, with no sustained improvement.
On detailed evaluation at our center, the child was diagnosed with ๐๐ฒ๐ฝ๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐๐ถ๐ ๐ ๐๐ถ๐ฟ๐๐โ๐ฎ๐๐๐ผ๐ฐ๐ถ๐ฎ๐๐ฒ๐ฑ ๐๐๐๐ผ๐ถ๐บ๐บ๐๐ป๐ฒ ๐๐ฒ๐บ๐ผ๐น๐๐๐ถ๐ฐ ๐๐ป๐ฒ๐บ๐ถ๐ฎ (๐๐๐๐) โ a rare extra-hepatic complication of Hepatitis A infection (very few cases reported). Laboratory investigations revealed evidence of active hemolysis, and the diagnosis was confirmed by a positive Direct Antiglobulin Test (DAT positive). The coexistence of hepatic inflammation, hemolytic anemia, and ascites made this a diagnostically challenging and uncommon presentation.
The child was managed with appropriate supportive care and immunomodulatory treatment, along with close monitoring of liver function and hemolytic parameters. She showed gradual and sustained clinical improvement, with resolution of jaundice and ascites.
Chestha was discharged in good health, with stable laboratory parameters and advised regular follow-up. This case highlights the importance of early referral, comprehensive evaluation, and awareness of rare immune-mediated complications of common viral infections such as Hepatitis A, especially in pediatric patients.
