The Institutional Disaster Management Committee (IDMC) of Saraswati Dental College and Hospital, Lucknow, in collaboration with B.S.M. College of Nursing and Saraswati Hospital & Research Centre, successfully organized a Fire Safety Awareness and Hands-on Training Program to equip faculty, staff, and students with essential knowledge and practical skills to respond effectively during fire emergencies.
Participants received live demonstrations on fire extinguisher use, evacuation protocols, and first response techniques, ensuring preparedness, alertness, and resilience in any crisis.
Kudos to the IDMC team and all participants for making campus safety a shared responsibility!

International Day of Older Persons was observed at Saraswati Dental College and Hospital, Lucknow, and on this occasion the Col. T. S. Mathur Oration in Prosthodontics was organized by the Department of Prosthodontics and Crown & Bridge under the leadership of Prof. (Dr.) Devendra Chopra on 29th and 30th September, 2025.
On this occasion an awareness talk on denture hygiene was organized, and denture storage boxes were distributed free to the patients. A lecture on ocular prostheses with hands-on was also delivered by Prof. (Dr.) Saumyendra Vikram Singh and Prof. (Dr.) Deeksha Arya from KGMU, Lucknow. The program was enriching and a great success.

Studies and Head, Department of Oral Medicine and Radiology, was invited as a guest speaker to share her novel research on ‘Reverse Panoramic Radiographic Technique in Forensic Odontology’ at the 3rd Biennial Conference of AFOHR, Forensic Festival 2025, Bali, Indonesia. This premier event was held alongside the 11th INPAFO, 16th IASR, 11th INPAFNUS, and 9th S**C.
This conference explored Global Perspectives in Humanitarian Forensics, fostering the exchange of knowledge, cutting edge techniques, and real world case studies. From inspiring keynotes to meaningful networking, the event underscored the value of cross border cooperation and lifelong learning in forensic science.

Saraswati Group of Educational Institutes started as Saraswati Dental College in the year 1998 and has seen tremendous growth in the past 21 years. SGEI was born out of the vision of one man who has ever since headed this Group with vigour and vitality. Col. (Dr.) T.S. Mathur was born in the year 1942 in the city of Lucknow in the state of Uttar Pradesh. After pursuing his studies in the field of Dental Surgery from the prestigious King Georges Medical College, Lucknow, Col. Mathur was commissioned into the Indian Army as a First Class Officer in the year 1965. During the 25 years in the Army command, he saw various Dental Centers all over India. During his travel across the length and breadth of the country, Col. Mathur got the opportunity to experience various cultures and systems spread across various states of our beautiful Country. In 1990 Col. Mathur took retirement from the Indian Army and settled down in his hometown Lucknow. He realized that Uttar Pradesh was far behind in the field of professional education when compared to states like Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Maharashtra. With a vision to give the students a state of art education based on Global needs and high moral values he conceptualized what today stands as the top Dental College of the State,” The Saraswati Dental College” or SDC, in the year 1998, incorporating and invoicing the name of The Goddess of Learning “Maa Saraswati”. In the year 2004 SDC got its Recognition from the DCI and Ministry of Health and Family Welfare New Delhi and Post Graduate program (M.D.S.) was subsequently started in the year 2005. This M.D.S. program has set benchmarks in the field of Dental teaching and research.
