महामहिम राष्ट्रपति जी ओडिशा के जनजातीय समाज से ताल्लुक रखने वाले दैतारी नायक जी को पद्म श्री सम्मान से विभूषित करते हुए जिन्होंने पहाड़ को काटकर तीन किलोमीटर की नहर का निर्माण किया, जो लगभग 100 एकड़ जमीन को सिंचाई का पानी उपलब्ध कराती है!

ISO 45001

New International Standard for Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems.

The issue of work-related injuries and diseases is significant and growing, both for employers and the economy. To combat this problem, ISO is developing a new standard named ISO 45001 (Occupational health and safety management systems - Requirements) that will help organizations reduce this burden globally by providing a framework to improve employee safety, reduce workplace risks and create better, safer working conditions.

The standard is currently being developed by a committee of occupational health and safety experts and will follow other standard management system protocols approaches such as ISO 14001 and ISO 9001. In order to comply with international needs and requirements,various countries and Organizations including the International Labour Organization (ILO) have been involved in the creation of ISO 45001. The aim is to provide a tool that can be used by any organisation, in any industry, anywhere in the world.

ISO 45001 expected to Publish: Dec 2017/Feb 2018

Reason For USe ISO 9001 Certificate:

The global adoption of ISO 9001 may be attributable to a number of factors. A number of major Purchasers/Clients/Consumers/Investors requires their Suppliers/Vendors/Merchants/Distributors to hold ISO 9001 certification. In addition to several stakeholders' benefits, a number of studies have identified significant financial benefits for organizations certified to ISO 9001.

Quality management system (QMS)

A quality management system is a formalized system that documents processes, procedures, and responsibilities for achieving quality policies and objectives. It helps coordinate and direct an organization’s activities to meet customer and regulatory requirements and improve its effectiveness and efficiency on a continuous basis.

Occupational Health and Safety

Human life is precious and safety of personnel and interested parties is the responsibility of an organization. ISO 18001 is a globally recognized standard for occupational health and safety management system which defines the health (Includes Psychological Health) and labor protection system of an organization.

Roles Of Employer
• Ensure the health, safety and welfare of workers and those not in his/her employ.
• Ensure workers are aware of potential hazards including psychological hazards bullying, stress and fatigue.
• Maintain a healthy and safe workplace, systems, equipment, tools.
• Provide information, instruction, training, and supervision, including requirements by the OH&S Act and Regulations and other associated legislation.

Workers’ Duties:
• Protect his/her health & safety and that of co-workers and others at or near the workplace.
• Co-operate with employer, co-workers, OH&S committee/worker health and safety representative/workplace health and safety designate, and anyone exercising a duty imposed under OH&S legislation.
• Follow instructions and training.
• Report hazardous conditions.
• Properly use all safety equipment/devices/clothing.

Workers' Rights:
• Know about workplace hazards.
• Participate and assist in identifying and resolving OH&S issues.
• Refuse unsafe work.

The world environment is going too much worst condition day by day as we use our natural resources indiscriminately and fail to manage our waste. Our total environmental condition deteriorate in everyday life but we yet not concern ourselves for save us from different types of natural calamities and extinction of several types of animals spaces groups, it is true that only human are responsible for polluting environment, but if we have a little bit concern than it will make us positive thinker to save our environment.
