Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences (SGPGI), located in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, is one of India’s premier medical institutions, known for its advanced patient care, research, and postgraduate training in super-specialties. Established in 1983 under the State Legislature Act, it functions as an autonomous university offering postgraduate and doctoral medical education.

Overview

SGPGI is situated on Raebareli Road, about 14 km south of Lucknow’s city center, and occupies over 650 acres of lush green campus equipped with residential, academic, and hospital blocks.

The institute offers DM, MCh, MD, and PhD programs, as well as postdoctoral certificate and fellowship courses in various medical specialties. It is accredited with an A++ grade by NAAC and ranked 6th in India among medical institutions by NIRF 2024.

Wellness Home is a premium guest house providing spacious and hygienic rooms at affordable rates, within a walking distance from SGPGI Lucknow. It has been set up with a primary focus on providing comfortable accommodations and has been designed keeping in mind Health-Vaastu; and seeks to provide a stay with utmost comfort to visitors coming to PGI for rooms and stay in hotel and guest house close to the SGPGI Gate. The rooms at Wellness Home are spacious and come with air-conditioning, king size bed, LED television, vanity area and large attached washroom. Wellness Home Lucknow provides value for money cheap rooms with good quality and includes a fitness center, microwave & refrigerator at reception. Large room sizes, King size bed, LED TV, vanity area and large attached washroom, AC/ Non-AC rooms with Indian/ Western style washrooms spread over three floors. Wheelchair-accessible. Special rates for visitors staying for longer durations. Also available for wedding and conference/ corporate bookings.
