You change your clothes for summer.
Your skincare routine should change too.

Heat, sweat and increased oil production can make heavy winter products clog pores and trigger breakouts.

Simple summer skincare switches:
• Use a gentle cleanser twice daily
• Switch to a lightweight gel moisturiser
• Apply broad-spectrum sunscreen daily
• Avoid heavy or greasy creams
• Keep skin hydrated
Small seasonal changes can keep your skin clear, balanced and protected.

The Derm Verdict is — skincare should adapt to the weather.
Save this before summer breakouts start.

Hair reduction… but hair growth? Let’s talk about paradoxical hair growth.

Laser hair reduction is designed to reduce unwanted hair by targeting the hair follicle with controlled heat. In most cases, it leads to thinner and slower hair growth over time.

However, in rare situations, some people may experience paradoxical hair growth where nearby fine hair becomes thicker or more noticeable after treatment.

This can happen due to several factors such as hormonal influences, treatment settings, or stimulation of dormant follicles in certain areas of the body.

The important thing to know is that it’s uncommon and manageable when the treatment is done under proper medical supervision.

That’s why laser treatments should always be performed by trained professionals who understand skin type, hair type, and correct laser parameters.

The Derm Verdict is — safe technology works best when guided by medical expertise.
Save this if you didn’t know laser could sometimes behave this way.

Your face isn’t the only place that shows age.
Your hands do too.

With time, hands lose volume, collagen, and elasticity. Veins become more visible, skin looks thinner, and texture changes. That’s where hand fillers come in.

Hand fillers restore lost volume, improve skin smoothness, and give a more youthful appearance without surgery. The goal isn’t to change your hands. It’s to make them look healthier, softer, and less hollow.

Results are subtle, natural, and immediate when done correctly.
A lot of people invest in facial rejuvenation but forget that hands often reveal age faster than the face.

The Derm Verdict is — rejuvenation should be balanced, not limited to the face.
Save this if you didn’t know hands can be treated too.

“Jhaiyon me nimbu laga lo.” 🍋
Aur agar itna easy hota… toh pigmentation treatment naam ki cheez hi nahi hoti.

Lemon contains citric acid. Yes, it’s natural. But direct application on skin can irritate the skin barrier, cause redness, burns, and even worsen hyperpigmentation — especially in Indian skin exposed to sun.

Pigmentation is linked to melanin production, UV exposure, hormones, inflammation, and barrier damage. It is not a lemonade problem.

Burning sensation does not mean brightening.
Natural does not always mean safe.
If you’re dealing with stubborn dark spots, melasma, or uneven skin tone, proper dermatological treatment and sunscreen matter far more than DIY remedies.

The Derm Verdict is — pigmentation needs science, not citrus.
Save this before you slice that lemon.

Botulinum Toxin Type A for Upper Facial Rejuvenation — mechanisms, injection techniques, and aesthetic outcomes.
Botox is often reduced to a trend.
But behind every subtle result is anatomy, precision, and clinical judgement.

Aesthetic dermatology is not about freezing expressions — it’s about understanding muscle dynamics, facial balance, and delivering natural outcomes safely.

Grateful to contribute to a platform that values science-backed aesthetic practice.

Fine lines soften.
Forehead looks smoother.
Expressions stay natural.

Can you guess the treatment? 👀

A lot of people think smooth skin means fillers or heavy procedures — but sometimes, the answer is much simpler.

Botox works by relaxing targeted facial muscles that cause dynamic wrinkles. When done correctly, it doesn’t freeze your face. It refreshes it. Subtle. Balanced. Natural.

The goal is not to change how you look.
It’s to make you look less tired and more confident.

Comment your guess before reading this line
Yes, the treatment is Botox.

Shaving your face — does it really have side effects? Let’s clear the confusion.

Facial shaving (dermaplaning at home) doesn’t make hair grow back thicker or darker — that’s a myth. Hair may feel coarser as it grows, but the structure of the hair doesn’t change.
However, side effects can happen when it’s done incorrectly.

Here’s what I commonly see:
• Razor burns and irritation
• Micro-cuts leading to pigmentation
• Breakouts if blades aren’t clean
• Worsening acne if shaved over active pimples
• Compromised skin barrier from overdoing it

If you have sensitive skin, active acne, rosacea, or pigmentation issues, facial shaving needs caution — or sometimes avoidance.
When done gently, occasionally, and with proper hygiene, shaving can be safe.

But like everything in skincare, it’s not for everyone.
If you’re unsure whether shaving suits your skin type, get it evaluated instead of experimenting repeatedly.

Diet alone doesn’t cause acne — but it can definitely trigger it.
If your acne keeps flaring despite good skincare, it’s time to look at what’s happening on your plate.

Certain foods increase inflammation and insulin spikes, which can worsen breakouts in acne-prone skin. This doesn’t mean you need extreme restrictions — it means you need awareness and balance.

What I often see helping acne-prone skin is reducing excess sugar, ultra-processed foods, and frequent dairy intake, while focusing on whole foods, adequate protein, fibre, and hydration. Your gut, hormones, and skin are deeply connected.

Acne improves best when diet, skincare, and medical treatment work together — not when one is blamed entirely.
If your breakouts feel stubborn or cyclical, a personalised approach makes all the difference.
