Career guidance program was organized for the 10th,11th and 12th std of YMCA KAMAK Higher Secondary School for the Hearing Impaired. Students were given a brief explanation about the higher education courses and job opportunities available for the Hearing Impaired students. An awareness program on “Child Labour and the POCSO Act” was organized for the learners of our YMCA Evening Study Center by the interns from the Madurai Institute of Social Sciences. During the session, the young learners understood the importance of the POCSO Act and the significance of ensuring that children are engaged in education rather than child labour. The program was truly an eye opener for our learners.
