Fact Check

A person weighing 60 Kg has a pressure of 18 pound per sq inch under their feet.

A car tyre has 30 pound per sq inch.

High pressure is one of the factors in developing wounds in the feet in Diabetics.

At our centre we measure pressure using Podiascan.

👣डायबेटीस असणारे बहुतांशी लोक वरचेवर फक्त रक्त तपासणी करून घेत असतात.

पण डायबेटिसमध्ये पायाला जखमा होण्याचे प्रमाण बरेच आहे त्यामुळे पायाची काळजी घेणे पण तेवढेच महत्त्वाचे आहे.

खाली नमूद केलेल्या तक्रारी जाणवल्यावर तज्ज्ञांकडून इतर तपासण्या बरोबर
पायाची तपासणी करून घ्यावी.

१. पाय बधिर होणे किंवा हाता पायात मुंग्या येणे .गरम गार स्पर्श न समजणे .
२. पाय भगभगणे आणि तळपायांची आग होणे
३. पायात कळा मारणे किंवा पायात गोळे येणे.
४. पायाला काहीही लागलेले न सोसण. पायावर चादर जरी टाकली तरी पायात कळा मारणे.
५. पायाला जखम, नखाला झालेली जखम ना भरणे, काही अंतर चालल्यावर पायात गोळे येणे , पाय थंड गार पडणे.
६. रात्री भयानक स्वप्न पडणे ( हे रात्री रक्तातली साखर कमी झाल्यावर होते )
७. संडास लघवी च्या सवयीमध्ये होणारे बदल
८. पोट गच्च राहणे ( पोट मोकळं होण्याच्या वेळेत वाढ झाल्यावर हे होतं ), मळमळ होणे, भूक न लागणे .
९. अचानक अंधुक दिसायला लागणे किंवा अंधारातून उजेडात आल्यावर अड्जस्ट व्हायला वेळ लागणे.
१०. शारीरिक संबंध ठेवण्या करता लिंगाला ताठपणा न येण.
११. बसलेल्या अवस्थेमधून उठून उभे राहायला ना जमणे .

वर दिलेल्या कुठल्याही तक्रारी जाणवे पर्यंत वाट बघू नका. डायबेटीस झाल्यावर लगेच आणि दर वर्षी संपूर्ण शरीराची आणि पायाची तपासणी करून घ्या आणि आपल्या पायांना सुरक्षित ठेवा .👣

We visited a devrai in Revandi Malvan and spent time trying to feel the ecosystem. The silence speaks. Saw peacoks & lots of birds. Time flies fast. Visited the Bhadrakali Mandir.

Diabetic foot ulcer treatment cost for an average Indian household can be equivalent to 5.7 years of their average annual income or *Rs 723718

However the

pain and suffering,

loss of mobility,

even life-long dependence on others

and

limitations imposed by the change of role of earning member is incalculable.

*India's per capita annual income in 2019-20 was ₹1,26,968, according to provisional estimates published by Government of India

Prevention is better than cure.

Ten Commendments of Foot Care in Diabetes

1. Do not Walk Barefoot

2. Inspect the feet daily

3. Do not apply hot fomentation/cold packs/ strong ointments

4. Use correct footwear

5. Do not walk bearing weight on affected foot.

6. Do not sit cross legged for long time

7. Do not remove footwear during travel

8. Cut the nails regularly trimmed square

9. Do not cut corns calluses with pins / blades/ knives

10. Clean the feet twice daily with soap & warer, wipe web spaces dry, apply softening agent over area that covers the sockes.
