NATIONAL MYOPIA WEEK=NOV 14-20
National Myopia Week provided an important platform to raise awareness about myopia, especially in underdiagnosed and underserved communities.
During this week, a session was conducted at a government primary school where I spoke to young students about the importance of understanding myopia.
The discussion highlighted how myopia often goes undiagnosed in such settings, posing risks to children's vision health.
What stood out remarkably was the enthusiastic participation and lively interaction not only from the students but also from the teachers, who showed genuine interest in learning and supporting the cause. This engagement underscored the vital role schools and educators play in fostering early awareness and preventive eye care habits.
The experience was truly inspiring and reinforced the need for continued efforts in educating communities about myopia prevention and management to protect children's vision for the future.
