Sleep is not just rest.
It is active brain recovery 🧠
While you sleep, your brain is working on things you cannot see:
• Clearing metabolic waste
• Regulating emotions
• Strengthening memory
• Resetting stress pathways
This is why sleep disturbance is closely linked with
anxiety, depression, irritability and burnout.
In psychiatry, improving sleep often becomes the first step toward improving mental health.
So on World Sleep Day, remember:
Good sleep is not a luxury.
It is biological therapy for the brain.
Prioritize it. Protect it. Respect it.
