👉 Is your child between 1 to 3 years old and not eating properly? Are you worried that their growth is not on track? In this video, Dr. Rakesh Kumar, Consultant Pediatrician and Neonatologist at Sri Anagha Children's Clinic, Medchal, explains the normal growth patterns for toddlers.
👉 During the first year of life, children generally gain around 6 kg in weight and increase about 25 cm in height. Their feeding includes breast milk and complementary foods depending on their growth requirements. In the second year, weight gain slows to around 1 to 1.5 kg, while height increases by about 15 cm. By the third year, children usually gain about 1 kg per year and grow approximately 6 to 7 cm in height.
👉 Even if a child appears thin or eats less, it can be completely normal, as weight and feeding needs vary according to individual growth and development. Understanding these milestones can help parents ensure that their child is developing healthily and address any doubts about feeding or growth.
