मी डॉ. एस. जी. प्रसादी, मिरज, येथील एक जनरल सर्जन आहे. माझं वय ७५ वर्ष आहे.
२०१३ साली, जेव्हा मी भरती मेडिकल कॉलेज, सांगली येथे काम करत असताना, गाडी चालवताना मला चक्कर आली. मी तात्काळ रुग्णालयात दाखल झालो आणि ओपीडीमध्ये प्रवेश केला. मला घाम फुटू लागला. मी हृदयविकाराचा त्रास समजून ECG केला पण तो नॉर्मल आला. काही वेळ विश्रांती घेतल्यावर मला बरे वाटले आणि माझ्या मित्राने मला घरी पोचवले.

त्यानंतर मला पुन्हा असा त्रास झाला नाही. पण सकाळच्या चालण्यात मला चक्कर येत असे. माझे रात्रीचं जेवण नियमित असतांना देखील, नंतर मला पहाटे ५ वाजता भूक लागू लागली,

आम्हा कुटुंबात मधुमेहाचा इतिहास असल्यामुळे मी माझी रँडम ब्लड शुगर तपासली, ती ६९ mgm होती. माझी PP ब्लड शुगर सामान्य होती.
मी रक्तदाब आणि वेंट्रिक्युलर इकोटोपिक बीट्ससाठी उपचार घेत होतो.

मिरजमधील वरिष्ठ डॉक्टरने माझं सीरम इंसुलिन तपासलं, जे ३४ होतं, जे लॅबोरेटरी रेंज ९-२४ युनिट्सच्या आत आहे.

माझं निदान इंसुलिन रेझिस्टन्स म्हणून झालं. मी एंडोक्रिनोलॉजिस्टचा सल्ला घेतला ज्यांनी इंसुलिन अँटीबॉडीज आणि कोर्टिसोल लेव्हल तपासलं. इंसुलिन अँटीबॉडीज नव्हते आणि कोर्टिसोल लेव्हल सामान्य होता. HbA1c ५.२ होता जे नॉर्मल आहे. पुनःपरीक्षण केलेल्या USG अॅब्डॉमेनमध्ये पॅनक्रियाटिक ट्यूमर आढळला नाही.

मला मेटफॉर्मिन ५०० mgm औषध दिलं गेलं.
जुलै २०२४ पर्यंत, मला वारंवार हायपोग्लायसेमिया चे हल्ले होत होते, कधी कधी इस्केमिक हृदयविकारासारखा वाटायचा. कार्डिओलॉजिस्टने माझा २D इको आणि TMT केला ज्याचे रिपोर्ट नॉर्मल आले.

जानेवारी २०२४ मध्ये, मला पुन्हा हायपोग्लायसेमिया ची प्रदीर्घ आणि वारंवार लक्षणे दिसू लागली. पुन्हा मला इंसुलिनोमा, s.gastrin लेव्हल, हायपरपराथायरॉइडिझम, मल्टी-एंडोक्टिन ट्यूमर्ससाठी तपासलं. एकदा माझं PP इंसुलिन २०० वर गेलं आणि उपवास इंसुलिन २८. पुन्हा इंसुलिन रेझिस्टन्सचं निदान झालं.

मेटफॉर्मिन मदत करत नव्हता. मला हायपोग्लायसेमिया चे हल्ले वाढले. मी मेटफॉर्मिन बंद केलं.

मी जास्त साखर, गोड रस, फळं घेत होतो आणि वजन १२ किलो ने वाढलं, पोटाचं वजन वाढलं. मी नाश्ता, जेवण बदलून पाहिलं, उकडलेली अंडी, साखर कमी करून पाहिली. पण ते काम करलं नाही.
हायपोग्लायसेमिया मुळे मी माझं सर्जिकल ओपीडी चालवू शकलो नाही. मी ऑपरेशन बंद केले.

जुलै २०२४ मध्ये मी मिरज येथील आयुर्वेद विशेषज्ञ डॉ. संदीप देवल यांच्याशी सल्लामसलत केली. त्यांनी मला आयुर्वेदिक औषधांनी उपचार केला. त्यानंतर मला हायपोग्लायसेमिया झालं नाही, माझी भूक कमी झाली, मला पहाटे हायपोग्लायसेमिया, चक्कर आणि गुढगुड जाणवत नाहीत.
