At Max Healthcare, we believe that "Knowledge is the Best Medicine." When it comes to childhood cancer, early detection isn't just a clinical goal—it’s a lifeline. Myths and misinformation can often lead to delays, but being aware of the subtle signs can make all the difference.

I’m joining the Health in a Minute initiative to unfold the essential warning signs every parent must know:

Blood Cancer: Look for frequent bone pain, excessive tiredness, or unexplained bruising.

Brain Tumours: Watch for persistent headaches, changes in walking patterns, or ongoing vomiting.

Bone Tumours: Be alert to spontaneous fractures, even with little to no trauma.

General Alarms: Unexplained fever, lumps that don't resolve, or a growth in the abdomen should be evaluated immediately.

Our goal at Max is to ensure that no family feels lost in the dark. By recognizing these signs early, we can turn fear into informed, life-saving action.

Think you’re safe from colorectal cancer because it doesn’t run in your family? Think again. 🛑

One of the most dangerous myths is that family history is the only risk factor. The reality is that the majority of colorectal cancer cases occur in people with NO family history. Don’t wait for symptoms—prioritize your screenings. Have questions? Drop them in the comments below.

Many people in India still don’t clearly understand what an oncologist does—especially a pediatric oncologist. Studies and awareness surveys suggest that less than 30–35% of the general population can correctly identify the role of an oncologist or know that there are specialists dedicated to treating cancer in children.

This gap in awareness often delays diagnosis and timely treatment. Many families first visit multiple doctors before reaching the right specialist.

Increasing awareness about pediatric oncology is essential so that children with cancer can reach the right care at the right time.

Everything is designed—especially the journey to healing. ✨

In 2026, my mission has been to peel back the layers of complexity that often surround a childhood cancer diagnosis. When a family enters my care, they aren't just looking for a "protocol"; they are looking for a way forward.

By simplifying the treatment journey, we reduce the fear of the unknown. By personalizing every step, we ensure that every child—regardless of their background or gender—receives the significant, high-quality care they deserve.

Medicine treats the disease, but compassion treats the child. 🎗️ Looking back at the paths we've built this year, I am reminded that the most significant designs are the ones that lead us home.

Education is the most powerful tool for prevention. Had a wonderful time sharing insights on adolescent health and hygiene at a district-level program recently. It’s not just about sharing knowledge; it’s about creating a safe space for young minds to learn and grow. A big thank you to the organizers and the school for such a successful event! 🩺💡

"Give to Gain." 💫

This motto isn't just a phrase; it’s the heartbeat of what we do every day. On International Women's Day, I’m reflecting on the incredible women I have the privilege to work alongside.

From the consultation room to the front lines of care, these women motivate, guide, and elevate everyone they touch. Our strength lies in our compassion and our shared vision for a healthier, kinder world. Cheers to the healers, the leaders, and the quiet forces of nature making a difference every single day. 👩‍⚕️✨

Children are not just small adults — especially when it comes to cancer.

I see every day how different childhood cancers truly are. They are rarely linked to lifestyle. They often happen without warning. And they require not just the right treatment protocol — but patience, empathy, and trust.

Treating a child means kneeling down to their level, explaining in gentle words, and sometimes simply holding their hand before starting therapy.

The most beautiful part?
Children are unbelievably resilient. Their courage inspires us as doctors and as human beings.

Every child deserves specialized care, compassion, and hope. 💛

Holi is more than just a festival of colors; it’s a reminder of how vibrant life can be when we feel our best. 🌈✨

As we celebrate new beginnings today, let’s remember that our health is the most important "color" we carry. Just as we take precautions to protect our skin and eyes, let’s commit to protecting our inner health with the same care and awareness.

May your day be filled with gentle colors, plenty of water, and responsible happiness. Wishing you and your family a healthy, vibrant, and joyful Holi! 🎨💦

Did you know that in a country of over 1.4 billion people, it is estimated that less than 5% of the Indian population truly understands what a Hematologist or a Pediatric Oncologist does?

Every day in my OPD, I meet patients who are naviagting complex health journeys but are unfamiliar with these designations. This lack of awareness often leads to delayed diagnosis.

So, let’s bridge the gap! As a Hematologist and Pediatric Oncologist, I am a specialist dedicated to the 'river of life'—your blood. From treating common conditions like Anemia to managing complex disorders like Thalassemia and childhood cancers, my role is to diagnose, treat, and provide specialized care for blood-related diseases and pediatric malignancies.

Awareness is the first step toward healing. Let's make sure every Indian knows who to turn to when it comes to blood health! 🩸✨
