Cancer Survivor Day Celebrations -
Easy to say, but really difficult to feel.
When a person is diagnosed with cancer, the depth of his/her pain, fear and anguish can not be described. It can only be felt from the depths of heart. This fear of pain and uncertainty make them and the family weak. But, their is always a ray of hope. The timely decisions and right way to fight along with the support of family and doctors make these patients warriors. They know that they have to fight to the hilt and warriors never quit.
And when these warriors fight and win, they are called survivors. To me they are still warriors, because they have won the toughest war in the life.
During the journey of this fight, they have different experiences and stories to tell.
I always cherish to hear their experiences and stories.
This all was proven right at the Cancer survivor day celebrations at Max Hospital, Mohali.
The patients along with family members, doctors and nurses came together to hear the experiences, stories from each other.
Then they all came together, not only to share their stories, but also to enjoy with songs, dance and do ramp walk.
As a doctor, i was mesmerized with their will to fight with the world and enjoy the life.
