Ragi sheera is so loved in my house especially my kids are obsessed with it. During winter its a must in our house. And why not...it is
✔ Easy to digest
✔High in calcium & iron
✔High in fibre
✔Rich in protein

Lets see a very yummy and nutritious Ragi sheera recipe-
▫️Take 1 bowl of ragi atta and roast it on a low flame until it becomes reddish.
▫️After the atta is roasted add 2 bowl of water into the atta in a slow manner.
▫️Remember to whisk continously while adding water in order to avoid formation of lumps.
▫️Add 2 spoons to stevia. Besides stevia you can also use jaggery which provides additional benefits being rich in iron.
▫️Pour the ragi sheera into a bowl and sprinkle it with almonds or sesame seed for additional crunch😊😊

Did you know that Guru Nanak Dev Ji once ate kodo millet ( kodre ki roti).
Let me tell you the strory how.
“When Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji was out on his first campaign tour to spread divine knowledge. After traveling a long way from reached Saidpur city. There he found a carpenter in the market selling items made from wood, who used to serve the sages and saints. His name was Lalo. He invited Nanak ji to stay with him.
Lalo took good care of Gurudev. He made Guruji a meal of very simple kodo millet roti and spinach etc. Mardane found pleasure in this dry dish like a delicious dishes. Then Bhai Mardana asked Gurudev that as this food looks dull but how has it become so delicious on consumption. Then Gurudev replied, this person lalo has love in his heart, he earns his livelihood by hard work, due to which he is blessed with the grace of the Lord.”
My Grandparent used to recite me this story and I used to really love it. I think this tale also has made me love millet even more.
⭐Now lets see recipe of kodra roti:-
-In a bowl add Kodo millet atta.
-By adding water kneed it into a soft dough.
-Make a small ball of dough and roll it into thin Chapati.
-Cook from both sides.
Replace your normal wheat roti and rice with these roti and I can guarantee you diseases like Obesity, Diabetes, Hypertension, high-cholestetol will vanish away.....😊😊
