It’s not always so much of a struggle💪🏻 to select low carbohydrate 🥗and healthy🌱 menu no matter where u travel. 🧳
Here are few ways of selecting them:
Look for veggie🥗 and protein combination like paneer or meat🥩 + veggies 🥗and avoid rice🍚 and roti to go along as any food cooked outside ends up being heavy and higher in calories.
2. Avoid sandwiches🥪, wraps, biryanis, full thali where one always ends up feeling heavy and bloated.
3 Nut🥜 based gravies or creamy gravies in Protein like Peas, Mushroom🍄, chicken🍗, mutton, Paneer , cheese are anyday better paired with salads 🥗or stir fried veggies with NO roti or RICE.
4. Remember it’s always the excess carbohydrates and not the good fat ( coming from cream/ ghee/ butter) that causes weight gain and fatty liver and Pre diabetes ultimately.
5. Avoid any drinks🍷 especially sodas, colas, cocktails and mocktails with main meals. Ultimately the aim is to stay well fed , satiated yet comfortable and not heavy.
Few examples of low carb options are :
Rajma masala or chole and salad, paneer cheese zuchini rolls, Fish or Paneer shashlik with few fries🍟 and veggies ( no rice), dal tadka in butter and grilled paneer , malai / paneer kofta with sautéed veggies.🥗
