Many of you my dear friends and family must have heard this from me more times than I can count.

Being a surgeon, I’ve missed countless social events, get-togethers, and occasions. Some call it sacrifice. Some understand. And some feel it comes across as attitude or selfishness.

Over time, I’ve realised this: busy is a mindset.

My 2026 resolution is not to be busy—but to be productive.
To be there for my friends and family, and of course, for my dear patients.

2026 is about making time—for family, friends, and ofcoursr my dear patients—because time is the only real trade-off we ever make.

This young girl, just 10 years old, struggled with droopy eyelids. Her parents shared how her confidence was affected—teachers would often ask her to stand at the back during stage programs.

After her ptosis correction surgery, she ran up to me, hugged me tightly, and gave an impromptu 2-minute thank-you speech filled with joy and gratitude. It was truly heartwarming.
