Why is fasting important before surgery in children?
Before any procedure requiring anesthesia, children must stay empty-stomach to prevent serious complications. Solid food should be stopped 6 hours before surgery, while clear liquids like water, coconut water, or breast milk are allowed up to 3 hours before.

This precaution helps avoid vomiting and choking during anesthesia, which can be dangerous for the lungs.
A simple step that ensures a safe and smooth surgery for your child.

Is surgery necessary for undescended te**es?

Undescended te**es don’t descend into the sc***um naturally and need surgery for proper function. If untreated, it can lead to complications like testicular cancer. Timely surgery ensures the child’s health and well-being.

Is your child struggling with a tight fo****in?

🩹 Stitches for Kids After Injury – What Parents Should Know
It is very common for small children to fall and get a cut that may require stitches. In that stressful moment, parents often panic — the child is crying, there's bleeding, and it feels urgent. But with the right guidance, this situation can be managed calmly and safely.

In this video, Dr. Bhavesh Doshi (Pediatric Surgeon) explains:
✔️ When stitches are actually necessary
✔️ Whether you need to rush immediately at night
✔️ How to control bleeding initially
✔️ Why waiting 24–48 hours is often medically acceptable
✔️ How stitches are placed in children using very fine sutures to reduce scarring
✔️ How scars lighten and become less visible as the child grows

Key Takeaway:
The first priority is to stop the bleeding.
Stitches usually do not need to be done in emergency at midnight.
Getting them done within 24–48 hours is often perfectly safe and recommended.

Children’s stitches are done using extremely fine, delicate sutures, sometimes placed under magnification. This is done to ensure that the scar remains minimal and fades significantly with time. As the child grows, the skin stretches — making the scar often barely noticeable later in life.

So please don’t panic — your child will be okay ❤️
