It’s been 7 years since we inaugurated the new Oculus eye hospital on 2nd December 2018. It’s been 29 years since I started practice in Mumbai. With the support of all patients old and new, we have been able to keep up with the latest technology in cataract surgery and grow from strength to strength. Happy 79th Independence Day🇮🇳

India began celebrating Independence Day on 15th August 1947, marking the end of nearly 200 years of British colonial rule. This historic day commemorates the nation’s freedom struggle led by countless freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives for independence. The date was chosen as it was the day when the Indian Independence Act of 1947 came into effect, officially transferring power from the British Crown to the Indian leadership. Since then, the day is celebrated annually with flag hoisting, parades, and cultural events across the country. It serves as a reminder of India’s unity, sovereignty, and the enduring spirit of freedom.

Mr. Dilip R. Vashi operated for cataract surgery both eyes in the last week. He had very hard mature cataracts both eyes and is very happy that he has recovered his vision.
