माया नगरी मुंबई में उर्फी धक्के खा रही थी, उसने सैकड़ो ऑडिशन दे दिए थे लेकिन उसे हर बार यह कहकर रिजेक्ट कर दिया जाता था कि "तुम्हारे बहुत छोटे हैं, तुम्हें कोई भी देखना पसंद नहीं करेगा"।

बार बार छोटे-छोटे सुन सुनकर उर्फी बेचारी परेशान हो चुकी थी. एक बार फिर से हिम्मत रखकर उर्फी करण जौहर के पास काम मांगने गई तो उसने भी वही बात दोहराई तो उर्फी को गुस्सा आ गया.

उर्फी ने करण जौहर से कहा "मेरे छोटे हैं यह बात ठीक है, लेकिन इन्हें देखना कोई पसंद नहीं करेगा यह बात बिल्कुल गलत है".

इसके बाद उर्फी कभी भी किसी के पास काम मांगने नहीं गई और आज उर्फी के देखने के लिए पूरी दुनिया तरसती है.
