Aakash is just 28, a young father and the only earning hand for his family. Life turned upside down when doctors told him last year that both his kidneys had failed. He is fighting every day and goes through dialysis twice a week. At home, his little 2-year-old son waits for him, not knowing why his father can’t play with him like before. His wife, parents, and younger brother look at him with hope, but the truth is heavy: Aakash is the one who always took care of everyone, and now the family is broken without him being strong. His mother stands by him like a pillar, but behind her brave face are tears. The doctors say the only way he can live a normal life again is with a kidney transplant, and it has to be done soon. "It isn’t easy to watch a loved one suffer. Today, I look at my husband, Neeraj and wonder about all the memories we have shared. Neeraj now lays unconscious at our home, surrounded by medical equipment and a caretaker by his side. I never imagined that a severe headache, anxiety and uneasiness would turn catastrophic. On the 2nd of August 2025, my husband faced a severe brain hemorrhage for which he had to undergo an emergency brain surgery. He is left in need of long-term care, physiotherapy and another surgery to replace the removed skull bone. His doctors say, “The process is critical and time-sensitive.” My husband also needs an ICU stay and medication. As a family, we have exhausted our savings, sought help from everywhere we can, even sold jewellery and are in debt due to surmounting medical expenses. I only hope that kind souls find the generosity in their hearts to give my husband the life that he wishes to live with us, a life that includes a happy home with his beloved children. “My son, Varun, is 39 years old. Since 2015, I knew something was wrong. His face and body started showing signs, swelling, pain, weakness, no movement, a kidney stone, and constant back pain. We tried to manage, but the disease kept growing inside him. On 2nd August 2025, I had to rush him to the hospital. That day changed everything. He was admitted for dialysis, but during the process, he suffered epileptic seizures. My son also fractured his hip, and soon after, a severe lung infection turned into pneumonia. His kidneys have already failed, his liver is infected, and doctors had no choice but to put him on a ventilator. For eight endless days, he lay there, not opening his eyes, not speaking, not eating. I sat near him, holding his hand, praying he would come back to me. He started showing small signs of improvement, but he is still in a very critical state, on ventilator support and on dialysis every alternate day. His body is fighting hard to recover, but the hip surgery cannot happen until the pneumonia clears. Doctors are only waiting for the infection to pass so they can operate. Until then, he keeps battling between life and death. Varun is not asking for much, only to live a healthy life again. As his mother, I feel helpless watching him like this. Please help my son.
