Shravana Nakshatra (The asterism of listening) is ruled by Lord Vishnu. Saturn is darkness and the Sun is light. Worshipping Lord Rama or just chanting HIS name is one of the best remedies for Saturn. So just chant Rama Rama Rama as prescribed in Vishnu Sahasranama whenever you feel the intensity of this transit.

Sun represents the leaders, kings, people in authority positions, life, light, ego, etc. Saturn represents servants, people who provide service, darkness, delays, etc.

A once-in-a-lifetime conjunction of 7 planets involving the Sun, Saturn, Jupiter, Moon, Venus, Mercury & the mystic non-planet Pluto occurs in the Vedic sign of Capricorn on 10th & 11th February 2021. We saw a very powerful 6 planet combination on 26th December 2019 that was at the epicentre of the Covid19 storm that we all have weathered over the last one year. It is extremely rare that two back-to-back heavy clusters occur within a span of 14 months. Saturn-Jupiter conjunctions are the most important conjunctions in astrology, since Jupiter and Saturn are the largest planets in our solar system. Even astronomers call Jupiter conjunct Saturn “The Great Conjunction”!

And what’s even more amazing about THIS conjunction, is that Jupiter and Saturn will be closer than they have ever been, since 1623. Just watch Jupiter and Saturn getting closer and closer with your own eyes (you can observe them after sunset, in the western sky).

Kartika is the eighth lunar month in the Hindu calendar, from 1st November to 30th November and it’s also the month of auspicious rituals of festivals, prayer and personal practices.

Known as the holiest month of the year, Karwa Chauth, Ahoi Ashtami, Rama Ekadashi, Dhanteras, Narak Chaturdashi, Lakshmi Puja, Gowardhan Puja, Bhai Dooj, Chhath Puja and Tulsi Vivah, are some of the festivals celebrated in Kartik month, with the most important one being, Diwali (traditionally known as Deepavali).

Kartika month culminates on the Full Moon day (30th) of the month referred to as Kartik Purnima and it is believed that during this month the rays of the Sun and Moon have a positive effect on the mind and body.

We say goodbye to the Pitta season and hello to the Vata season. This transition from summer to autumn, is known as ‘rtu sandhi’ in Ayurveda. Our bodies respond to these atmospheric changes, just as nature does, and when one season gives way to another our bodies and our mind also undergoes this transition.

Rituals of fasting, donating, praying and meditating during this month all contribute to discarding negativity and adopting positivity and blessings for the year ahead.

Astrological Significance

6 planets will be strong in their own signs as the Moon enters cancer on September 13th, 2020.

Jupiter in Sagittarius, Saturn in Capricorn, Mars in Aries, Moon in Cancer, Sun in Leo and Mercury in Virgo (own house and exalted)… And all the 7 planets excluding the nodes are in 7 different houses in Veena Yoga. This is indeed powerful and extraordinary.

This celestial phenomenon would end when the moon would leave the sign of Cancer passing through the Gandanta zone on September 15th, 2020.

It is still very superficial to conclude that just because planets are in their own signs everything is going to be great. A lot more needs to be considered for a powerful time such as the yoga between planets and their placement in the Varga/divisional charts.
