Prin. K. M. Kundnani College of Pharmacy, Cuffe Parade, Mumbai, proudly inaugurated its Herbal Extraction Unit on 1st November 2025 at the Pharmacognosy Research Laboratory under the guidance of Dr. Rajani B. Athawale, I/C Principal & Professor, and Dr. Swati Patil, Sr. Vice Principal. The event was graced by Dr. Niranjan Hiranandani, President & Trustee, HSNC Board, along with the esteemed members of Shree Multan Seva Samiti — Mr. Ramesh Gandhi, Mr. Yogesh Gulati, Mr. Dharmendra Mutreja, Mr. Mukesh Sehgal, Mr. Lalit Mutreja, and Mr. Sunil Gulati, whose continued support made this achievement possible.
The ceremony commenced with the traditional lighting of the lamp and invocation of Goddess Saraswati’s blessings, followed by inspiring addresses from the dignitaries. Their words highlighted the importance of innovation, research, and collaboration in strengthening pharmaceutical education. The inauguration of the Herbal Extraction Unit represents a major step forward in advancing the college’s infrastructure, promoting experiential learning, and encouraging students to engage deeply with herbal drug development and research.
This new facility, equipped with modern extraction technology, aims to bridge theory with practice and foster excellence in natural product research.
