Conducting workshops, webinars on Physiotherapy rehabilitation of spinal cord injury (quadriplegia and paraplegia).

These encompass various aspects of rehabilitation in acute, subacute and chronic phase of incomplete and complete spinal cord injury. The workshops & webinars cover various aspects of Physiotherapy Rehabilitation of complete and incomplete spinal cord injury patients (Paraplegia and Quadriplegia) such as bed mobility and transitions, transfer training, orthotic prescription, balance and gait training, wheelchair skills training, group therapy, wheelchair prescription, wheelchair servicing and maintenance. In order to effectively share the rehabilitation methods with other physiotherapists the events include:
* Live demonstration and video demonstration of treatments on SCI patients of various levels of injury
* Hands-on practice sessions for workshop participants under the guidance of resource persons
* Case Studies related to assessment, goal setting and treatment administration on patients of different levels of spinal cord injury

Dr. Uthra Mohan was resource person at 2 days hands-on workshop on "Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation Techniques" on 1st and 2nd March, 2025 at CK Birla Hospital, Kolkata. Workshop was attended by 50 participants. It included PNF procedures and techniques for rehabilitation, discussion on clinical cases, treatment demonstration on patient.

A panel discussion on "Stroke Rehabilitation" was also organized on 1st March; with neurophysician, neurosurgeon, occupation therapist, swallow therapist included among panelists. It involved enriching discussion and sharing of knowledge on mechanical thrombectomy, craniotomy, swallow therapy, PT and OT rehabilitation for improving gait and hand function, prevention of aspiration, use of NDT and PNF in neurorehabilitation. It was followed by an engaging Q&A and thought-provoking discussion from the audience.

Dr. Uthra Mohan presented lecture on 'Orthotic Prescription for Lower Extremity' at TMV's Lokmanya Tilak College of Physiotherapy, Kharghar on 1st December, 2022 on the occasion of World Disability Day. She was also a Judge for Prosthetics & Orthotics Model Making Competition. It was wonderful to see the enthusiasm and knowledge of the students participating in the event.
