Yogashala Hatha yoga, Meditation, Natural living, Auyurveda. ONLINE YOGA CLASSES

Hi, I am Sheetal

At Yogashala, we practice asanas pranayamas, chanting and guided meditations in the classes and I truly seek to offer the core values of yoga to all my students and help them come closer to the deeper innate wisdom which everybody is born with. Along with teaching the practical and theoretical aspects of yoga, I love to combine creative sequencing, a spirit of playfulness and a dose of inspiration to help you deepen your practice. I seek to help you thrive in life by nurturing body, mind and soul with yoga, and hope that you step off the mat feeling refreshed, nourished and balanced.”

By incorporating asanas, kriyas, mudras and bhavas in my classes I guide students achieve strength, flexibility and inner peace. I believe that each aware movement, physical or pranic, help you attune to your most natural rhythm and bring harmony, peace and balance in each aspect of your life which actually is the ultimate goal of yoga. Following a yogic approach in life over the last few years has given me an opportunity to reconnect with myself. This inner exploration not only helped me shape my beliefs but create a deeper connection with my intuition. I'm a great believer of one’s intuitive capabilities especially when you become a teacher and share your learnings as a yoga teacher.

*A little background to my initiation into yoga, my education and learnings in the yoga field*

I'm a certified yoga instructor from the prestigious The Yoga Institute. Post a degree in mass communication and midway through a budding career in journalism, I realised my true calling lies in the journey inwards that leads towards enlightenment and eternal bliss. I did my first yoga teachers training, 900 hours Ashtanga yoga teachers training, from The Yoga Institute, Mumbai followed by 200 hour teachers training from Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga, Mysore and there is no looking back since then. 🤗

It doesn’t always go as planned.
We travelled to India, all excited to celebrate Diwali with family — hearts full, spirits high.
But as life would have it, my daughter fell sick the moment we landed, and soon enough, I followed.
High fevers, sleepless nights, missed plans… the week just slipped away in recovery mode.

And yet — Diwali was.
Because Diwali is more than diyas and sweets; it’s the light that stays, even when things go dim.
Sick or not, we were among our people… celebrating from a distance, but celebrating still.

Here’s to the spirit of life,
to these beautiful festivals that bring us together —
always finding light, always choosing joy,
always lighting up our hearts and souls. ✨

Not every moment needs to be content.
Not every laughter needs to be recorded.
Not every “real” glimpse belongs on the internet.

Recently, I came across a child’s reel —
a simple moment where he spoke to a celebrity.
The internet made it viral.
People watched, shared, laughed, and judged.

But should it be trending?
Should it even be there?

He’s a child — unaware of what it means
to live forever as a piece of online entertainment.
He can’t give consent.
Yet his face, his voice, his innocence
now live on for the world to dissect.

Sometimes, we forget that these are people, not posts.
That this is someone’s story, not our content.

Let’s bring empathy back into how we witness others.
Let’s let some moments remain sacred. 🌿

A moment that trends for us might stay with someone for life.
Especially when it’s a child — who never chose to be seen that way.

The internet remembers.
Let’s choose presence over performance, empathy over exposure.

A REALIZATION ✨

Somewhere along the way, I developed an aversion to yoga or meditation spaces/people/workshops filled with heavy, scientific—or not so scientific—spiritual jargon.
Especially in a world where this kind of language is often expected, even celebrated — where sounding “spiritual” sometimes seems more important than simply being present.

As a yoga teacher, I once felt I had to speak that language too — words embossed with enlightenment, higher vibrations, divine frequencies… until they stopped meaning anything real to me.

So I stopped.
Stopped saying what sounded right, and started saying what felt true.

Now I’d rather speak simply, quietly, and honestly — because presence doesn’t need performance.
