What happens when a team pauses to reflect on how far it has come?

We realise that the Next isn’t ahead of us — the Next is Now!

Aarambh 2026, our annual kick-off for , was more than a gathering. It was a moment to celebrate our milestones of the past year, reconnect with our purpose, and align on the mission that drives us forward into 2026.

Our Managing Director, Rishubh Gupta, outlined a bold roadmap anchored in our 2026 theme, “Next is Now”, a call to act with urgency, clarity, and collective accountability in a rapidly evolving healthcare landscape to positively impact the lives of patients. We were also privileged to hear from Johnny Tse, Head of Sub-region Emerging Markets, whose inspiring session encouraged us to challenge boundaries, rise together, and keep patients at the heart of everything we do.

What made Aarambh truly powerful was the voice of our teams. who showcased how strategy translates into action on the ground. Because sustainable impact is never driven by ambition alone, it is built through aligned ex*****on.

In 2026, we do so with shared momentum and a clear mandate:
To lead with science.
To partner with purpose, enabling earlier detection and saving lives
To shape the future of diagnostics in India & beyond

Because at Roche, the future isn’t something we wait for, it’s something we build, starting now.

Subtle symptoms such as ongoing indigestion or bloating can be easily dismissed as nothing more than just occasional discomfort. Recognising these potential early warning signs of gastric cancer and seeking prompt screening can lead to an earlier diagnosis, improving treatment options and outcomes. Stay informed and consult your doctor if these issues persist.

In healthcare, timing plays a decisive role in shaping outcomes. When conditions are identified earlier, individuals and clinicians have more time to evaluate options, make informed decisions, and plan the next steps with greater clarity.

Diagnostics are central to this process. By enabling earlier insights into health risks and disease progression, they help shift care from reactive to proactive, often expanding the range of possible interventions.

Choosing timely diagnosis isn’t about anticipating the worst.
It’s about preparing for the future with knowledge rather than uncertainty.

Because having information early doesn’t limit choices.
It creates them.

February often celebrates love in ways that are visible and fleeting. Yet some of the most meaningful acts of care are quiet, shaped by awareness, attention, and timely action. This Valentine’s Day, let’s turn that care inward. Prioritising health through informed choices and early action is not indulgent or selfish; it is a commitment to long-term well-being. After all, the most enduring relationship we nurture is the one with our own health.

Liver cancer rarely develops suddenly. It is often the result of a gradual progression, from chronic liver inflammation to fibrosis and cirrhosis. Detecting and managing liver disease early can significantly reduce the risk of cancer. Understanding disease stages, identifying risk factors, and acting in time can change outcomes.

Lung cancer has long been associated primarily with smoking. However, growing evidence shows that prolonged exposure to air pollution is also an important risk factor, particularly in urban environments where air quality remains consistently poor.

Airborne pollutants can cause chronic irritation and inflammation in the lungs, with effects that accumulate over time. These risks are often invisible and can impact individuals regardless of smoking history.

As air quality becomes a daily concern, lung health needs to be viewed through a broader lens—one that recognises environmental exposure and the importance of early awareness and preventive health measures.

Understanding how risk is evolving is a crucial step toward protecting lung health in today’s world.

Diagnostics play a critical role in decision-making at every stage of a person’s life. From risk assessment and early detection to treatment guidance and long-term monitoring, diagnostic tests provide the clarity needed to make informed clinical decisions.

Nearly 70% of healthcare decisions are influenced by diagnostic information [1], that help shape better health outcomes and, in many cases, change lives.

By delivering diagnostic certainty, testing helps healthcare providers choose the right course of action, track disease progression, and improve patient outcomes across a wide range of conditions.

While a family history of breast cancer does increase risk, it accounts for only a small proportion of cases. A significant number of breast cancer diagnoses occur in people with no known genetic or familial link.

This is why breast cancer awareness must move beyond heredity alone.

Understanding how risk develops over time helps shift the focus from assumption to prevention, and reinforces the importance of timely, evidence-based screening as part of long-term health planning.

Many cancers progress quietly, often without noticeable symptoms in their early stages [1]. This is what makes early detection such a critical part of cancer control, not as a reaction to illness, but as a proactive approach to health.

Diagnostics play a central role in this shift. By enabling cancers to be identified earlier, they open the door to timely intervention, broader treatment options, and improved outcomes.

On World Cancer Day, the focus extends beyond treatment alone. It’s also a reminder of the importance of awareness, evidence-based screening, and informed health decisions, long before symptoms appear.

Because prioritising health early isn’t fear-driven.
It’s informed, responsible, and preventive.
