I find it ridiculous that young twenty-somethings (epitomizing the yuppies) prancing around the streets and stores with the latest 'designer' N-95 masks. My dear people, it is not whether you can afford it or not. The society as a whole can't afford it. And, in all probability (based on experience), you are using them wrong.
Keep them for the medical personnel who are in direct line of fire and are doing their darndest to keep your loved ones and you alive! Besides, it is good for you. One infected medical person can set off a chain reaction of thousands of infected public, and you could be one of them. You may be young and able to fight the infection, and just suffer from a mild flu-like illness but your parents or elderly relatives might not be so lucky.

Last weekend in Pune, I had the opportunity to attend PESICON 2020. This is the annual conference of pediatric surgeons across India who have special interest in laparoscopic and endoscopic procedures.
It was nicely organized by Dr. Dasmit Singh and his team. The venue was superb, the Sheraton Grand (erstwhile Le Meredien), excellent arrangements.
A great opportunity to meet new people and get up to date with a lot of what is going on in our field.
I had a talk at the conference and one of our students, Dr. Shruti Tewari/Agarwal from Lilavati Hospital presented an e-poster.
