The triceps pushdown exercise involves resisting against force to straighten your arms and strengthen your triceps. This exercise is typically performed on a cable machine, which features a moveable, adjustable weight platform connected by a cable to handles or a long bar. Grasp the handles over-handed with your hands about 6 to 12 inches apart. Bend your arms until your forearm and upper arm are at 90-degree angles, tucking your elbows in close to your body. Keep your back straight and stomach muscles contracted as you contract the triceps to the weight toward the floor. Stop just before your arms are completely straight.

Using a pec deck, you will work toward ripping your chest muscles in general. While this machine targets muscles like your pectorals for the most part, it also exercises others. In a secondary nature, the pec deck will work out the muscles in your upper shoulders and upper back. An example of these muscles that the machine works in a secondary fashion is your trapezoids, your rhomboids and your latissimus dorsi. When you move your arms on this machine, your muscles contract, which gives them room to expand in size. Your muscles are given time to isolate when you relax them after the conclusion of a repetition.

Sledgehammers can be integrated into a variety of workouts including circuits and high-intensity interval training. Aim for time or number of strikes and mix it up with a variety of diagonal and vertical strikes from both the left and right sides of your body. You’ll build strength, burn fat and get a great cardio workout at the same time.

Cardio exercise consists of many things but it mainly factors your heart being utilized to beat faster or increase heart rate in order to burn calories. You can do cardio by running, jogging, sprinting, and many more through treadmills and so forth. The stair master, bikes, there are tons that can be done for cardio exercise.

The Wide Grip Lat PullDown works the back muscles, especially the latissimus dorsi or the "lats." It is performed at a workstation with adjustable resistance, usually plates. While sitting with your upper thighs restrained under a thigh pad, you pull a hanging bar down toward you, to reach chin level, and then release it back up with control for one repetition. This exercise can be done as part of an upper body strength workout.
