ભારત કરતા બ્રાઝીલમાં કાકરેજ, ગીર જેવી ભારતીય ગાયની સંખ્યા વધુ
જૂનાગઢ, તા. ૧૭
જૂનાગઢ તાલુકાના જામકામાં આવેલા ગીર ગાય સંવર્ધન કેન્દ્રની બ્રાઝીલના પશુ વૈજ્ઞાાનિકે મુલાકાત લીધી હતી અને ગાયના બ્રીડીંગ, સંવર્ધન તથા તેના પાલનને લગતી માહિતી મેળવી પ્રભાવિત થયા હતા. અત્રે નોંધનીય છે કે હાલ ભારત કરતાં બ્રાઝીલમાં કાંકરેજ, ગીર સહિતની ભારતીય ગાયોની સંખ્યા વધુ છે.

બ્રાઝીલમાં ગૌ સંવર્ધનનો મોટાપાયે વિકાસ થયો છે. જેના અનુસંધઆને બ્રાઝીલના પશુ વૈજ્ઞાાનિક અને આંતરરાષ્ટ્રીય કેટલ શો ના નિર્ણાયક જોશ ઓટાવીયો લેમોસ હાલ એક કામધેનુ નામનો અંક લખી રહ્યા છે તે માટે તેઓ જૂનાગઢ તાલુકાનાં જામકામાં આવેલા ગૌ સંવર્ધન કેન્દ્રની મુલાકાતે આવ્યા હતા. જ્યાં પરસોત્તમભાઇ સીદપરા દ્વારા થતા ગૌ સંવર્ધન તથા પાલન સહિતની જાણકારી મેળવી હતી. અને ગાયના છાણ, ગૌ મુત્રનો ખેતીમાં થતા ઉપયોગ અંગે પણ માહિતી પ્રાપ્ત કરી હતી અને ગોપાલન સાથે ખેતી થતી હોવાની બાબતથી તેઓ પ્રભાવિત થયા હતા.

આ અંગે પરસોત્તમભાઇએ જણાવ્યું હતું કે બ્રાઝીલના પશુ વૈજ્ઞાાનિકે કામધેનુ અંકમાં ફોટોગ્રાફ્સ સાથેના લેખન માટે માહિતી મેળવવા આવ્યા હતા. વધુમાં પરસોત્તમભાઇએ જણાવ્યું હતું કે ૧૯૬૫માં બ્રાઝીલમાં ભારતીય ગાયની સંખ્યા ૫.૬૦ કરોડ હતી. જ્યારે ભારતમાં ત્રીજી પંચવર્ષિય યોજના પ્રમાણે ૧૫.૯૦ કરોડ હતી. જ્યારે હાલ બ્રાઝીલમાં ગીર, ઓગોલ, કાકરેજી જેવી ભારતીય ગાયની સંખ્યા ૨૧.૪૦ કરોડ છે. જ્યારે ભારતમાં ૧૯.૯૦ કરોડ છે.

ભારતમાં ચાર કરોડ ગાયની સંખ્યા વધી છે તે પણ મોટાભાગની વિદેશી છે. ૧૯૬૫માં ૬૫ પ્રકારની બ્રીડ હતી જે હાલ ૩૯ પ્રકારની છે. બાકીની લુપ્ત થઇ ગઇ છે. ભારતીયો ગોપાલન સાથે ખેતી નહીં કરે તો બાકીની ગાયની બ્રીડ પણ લુપ્ત થઇ જશે. માત્ર ગાય માતાની જય બોલાવવાથી કંઇ નહીં વળે દરેક વ્યક્તિએ ઘરે ઘરે ગાય બાંધવી પડશે.

A Special Way to Remember Krishna

The last and most important reason for cow protection is that it helps us think of Krishna. We can catch glimpses of His attractive and wonderful personality in many ways that would be more difficult without protected cows. When Srila Prabhupada visited Gita Nagari, he told the devotees, “This town life, industrial life, factory life, is asuric [demoniac] life. It is killing human ambition. It is killing civilization.” He encouraged us to set an example by protecting cows and living as Krishna lived:Krishna, in His natural life, is a village boy in Vrindavana. Vrindavana is a village. There is no factory, there is no motorcar, there are no big, big skyscraper buildings; it is a village. That Krishna likes.… Krishna is so fond of Vrindavana village life, with His cowherd boys and cowherd girls, Hisgopis, mother Yashoda, father Nanda, Upananda,uncles, big family, the cows and the calves, the trees, the Yamuna River. He is satisfied in that life. So at least those who are Krishna conscious,they should be satisfied with simple life in the village. That is part of Krishna consciousness.… Whatever Krishna has taught by His personal life,by His teaching, to follow that is Krishna
