Sometimes, healing asks for a change in space before it begins to shift within.
Leaving behind the familiar rhythm of Mumbai, I travelled to Kochi, and from there, into the quiet stillness of the Pachimalai hills, arriving at Prakriti Shakti.
This journey wasn’t about escaping, it was about allowing myself to step into a space where healing didn’t feel rushed or defined. A space where I could simply slow down, breathe, and begin again—gently.

Healing doesn’t always look like progress.
Sometimes, it looks like slowing down, sitting with discomfort, and finding small moments of ease in between. The process may not be something you chose, but within it, there are still moments to experience, to notice, to hold onto. Not everything needs to be rushed. Some things are meant to be felt, one moment at a time.

There is a kind of stillness that isn’t chosen — one that arrives through discomfort, through change, through moments that feel unfamiliar.
With GBS, the experience goes beyond the physical. Facial palsy, pain, and shifts in the body also bring a quiet emotional weight — one that changes how you see yourself and how you move through the world.

Less control, more presence.
Less urgency, more awareness.

Some experiences arrive without warning, without reason, and without something to hold onto for answers. Being diagnosed with Guillain-Barré Syndrome (GBS) was one of them — rare, unpredictable, and completely beyond control.
It began with facial palsy, something that felt small at first, until it wasn’t. A reminder that the body can change in ways we don’t always understand.
