We often get stuck fighting internally with ourselves and the choices we’ve made in the past. This causes a lot of heavy emotions like guilt, shame and hopelessness and leaves us feeling depleted with less energy to actually put towards making the necessary changes. On the other hand, if we understand the reasons and unconscious habits behind our past actions, we can be mindful not to be controlled by them, allowing us to make better choices in the future.
